And that’s fine. I understand wanting to get a physical presence type of player. But aim higher on the actually decent aspect of playing the game. Trouba is a knuckle dragger at this point. Just gross.
- SDSabre

No, he still plays almost 22min a night. And if they retain 3mill like the deal said he would only be making 3mill in actual money the last 2 years. Put him at 2bd pair, cut his minutes down to 18min or so, still good on the PK. But it won't happen anyway, just a fake AGM

So when are the things going to happen

Do other GMs go on the radio to answer pointless questions during one of the busiest and most important times of the year? Kind of a serious question

- ieetbred

It would be insane to turn down an opportunity for a recorded conversation. That's a top 5 kind of conversation imo

Yeah he’s not great in his own end. Booo freaking who.

If I showed you that Mcdavid isn’t good in his own end.

Should we pass on him as well?

- Sabretooth9

Sure if you want to make up wild poop that isn’t true, I guess.

Can we calm down, it’s Necas. He’s a 25/25 guy not someone to get this worked up about.

Now do Skinner
- DirtyDan

skinner has 92 goals over the last 3 years

necas has 66 goals in the same time

maybe one day the team with fewer goals will win the game, but not anytime soon

You literally named Clifton

And no trouba is so bad. He should never touch the top 4.

You are also avoiding his lack of skills.

Saying “he plays 18 minutes and PK”

That’s a terrible point.

The dude absolutely sucks. Lower his minutes won’t do a darn thing

They didn’t help Risto when he was here

I am more inclined to getting ehlers with an extension if buying out skinner

What ? Clifton can barely handle 16min a night. Remember they tried to add minutes hoping he could be a 2nd pair

maybe if he played in a few preseason games, he would have been better to start the season

If he was like 26 I’d take this chance. He’ll be 31 halfway through next season. He is what he is. And he was playing the same minutes the year prior and his metrics and impact were still not great. The just absolutely tanked last year. He’s either washed (most likely) or had a terrible year after sub par years for a guy making 5M.

No it's not, when one can handle 20min a night regularly through his career. And one who loses his skill set when he plays over his normal time isn't the same.

yeah I doubt the rangers even want to move him at this point, esp with miller taking a step back this past year

Nobody said that.

Necas is good. He’s also ass defensively. Like one of the worst, which I think the Sabres have a lot of already.

The whole conversation started with “Lindy wouldn’t like Skinner”

He’ll also hate Necas if that’s the case.

- ImThatGuy

There's some truth to this, but I think with Necas you might be able to curb that up where Skinner is going to get progressively worse. Also, his offensive impact is better.

Given the composition of the team, I wonder if they're just looking to get back to 22-23 where we're smashing in 4 a game again and expect some defensive lapses. Not sure one guy solves that anyways either. But what do you think? Does he just fit the modus operandi moving forward or do they covet him for another reason?

Would you try to trade him fully retained (would cost the same actual dollars on a buyout, cap would only be 4.5 for 3 years) vs buy him out. Basically ask him where he’d like to go for FC instead.

Funny the AGM was a Rangers fan, guy played like 2 months on a broken ankle before going into the playoffs.

no need to buy him out w/o a replacement IMO

perhaps they have a trade in the works

these things take time

skinner is not as bad as some of you think

damn if only the fans show up

yadda yadda yadda
