I’m in your camp that Skinner isn’t nearly as bad as is made out to be. Is what it is. Trouba is hot garbage though. Aim higher.

There is no NHL waiver activity today.

The first buyout period is open, though, and runs through Sunday. Players with a NMC in their contracts don't have to be placed on unconditional waivers before being bought out.

Teuvo Teravainen is a nice player headed to free agency.

He wont cost any assets and probably signs for under 6m

I have already said I didn't like the Skinner buy out unless you could replace Skinner's Production. Necas produces and is only 25, will he fit here I don't know. But he's young enough and talented enough for it to happen. You can rip me about Trouba all you want. He's been Captain of a Winning Team, and I wouldn't be asking him to play 22min a night.

Opinions vary, but I’m just trying to use facts here. Trouba has been relatively bad for seasons now, with last year being brutally bad. His game will lead to injuries, so broken ankle or not, my guess is he continues to play banged up for the rest of his career. Maybe Buffalo needs a guy like that. Just easier to do when the body is 23-26 years old rather than 31.

There's a lot of offensive players that this is the case. Necas can lug the biscuit, Skinner can't. Necas is a good distributor, Skinner isn't. Necas has good speed, Skinner is just an edges guy. There's a lot more differences than similarities. Fair?

Yup…Adams says they are having conversations about Skinner. LOL

He did mention that his NMC has an impact on trades (no kidding) but kinda sounded like that was an option.

Yeah, I mean Skinner on the 3rd line is a big negative to me. When someone asked what he'd produce there I came up with 20 points. I don't think he's able to do anything alone, he can become a superstar from the hashmarks in, with a perfect pass. I'm not sure getting rid of him and adding Necas in the place isn't $10-15M in difference. That $15M figure only being for 1 year I mean.

But I digress, I'm more wondering why you think the Sabres are after Necas in the first place given that he isn't a sure fire "Lindy Guy". Is it just a lack of options?
