Ok, it is the day after getting the Cup, who stays and who goes? What will your goalie situation be?.....$14.5M for 2 goalies is a costly luxury in the cap era! There is no time to waste! 3 days till the draft! |

Congrats Panthers Fans! Fun game last night
Although I think it is BS that a player from the losing team wins the Conn Smyth. Always diagreed with that concept. |

Conn Smythe is the MVP for the entire playoffs, not just the finals. McDavid was phenomenal and Bob stumbled just enough to take himself out of the race for it. The right guy got the trophy.
Congrats to the Cats, that was a fun series. Real happy to see Okposo get to lift the Cup at the end of his career. |

Let me be the first to congratulate the NHL and Gary Bettman on their win.
Next cup winner: Nashville, LA, NJ... We'll have to see which non-traditional US market, that could use a boost to grow American hockey, has the best chance come playoffs. |

Congrats Cats! Well deserved, thats a great hockey team. They went all in and it paid off.
Disappointed Bobrovsky didnt get the Conn Smythe. Yeah, he had some bad games but he was also a stud and showed up when it mattered most. He has had such a wild career from being a stud, to being terrible (worst contract in league history) to being a stud again... good for him.
McDavid put up an all time great stat line for the playoffs, but how many of his points came when the Oilers already had a 2 goal lead? I am not going to go back and add it all up, but I am going to estimate close to 50% of his points were scored when the Oilers were way ahead in games. 11 points in the finals but how many of those took place when the game was already won? I'd guess 5 or 6. Bob had some bad games but he also had some huge games in the finals. |

Way to go Florida! After watching them a handful of times this season I had a feeling this could be their year though Edmonton gets full credit for making it as close as it was. Had Vancouver made it to the finals then I might have cheered for them but I will never cheer for the Oilers. It's just fun to watch them continue to not win after getting four first overall picks in six years. Petty? You bet your ass, I'm a Leafs fan! We haven't even made the conference finals since 2002 so we have to find joy in the suffering of others because our own team sure hasn't given us anything to celebrate recently. |

Both had great playoff runs. Yes, Bob stumbled a bit in games 4-6 but McDavid didn't have a point in game 6 or game 7....so he also stumbled and his team LOST. Just BS to give it to the losing team.

That's a brain dead mindset. McDavid had the best postseason in the cap era and carried his team. Florida is a much deeper team, but they have no defined superstar that is arguably the best in the league at their own position. And it showed in the postseason as no individual on roster was elite. |

I cannot help but think that Jonathan Huberdeau was watching that game and thinking that I should have been there winning the Cup. Sometimes life can be cruel. Maybe Calgary can turn it around. |

McJesus was first in line to shake the Cat's players hand after the game. He probably felt this moment belonged to the winning team (on home ice). |
