I think his offensive side has been stifled by the role the Rangers expected from him. It has gotten worse each year. - JRR1285
You could be right. But, honestly, as much as I really like parts of his game, I think he just had a career year in Winnipeg and cashed in at precisely the right time. |

Thomas,
No, everything cannot be. Believe me, this is not me misunderstanding the power of statistics. I get that nuance can be glimpsed through hyper-analysis of the metrics. But, they can never represent 100% of possible outcomes. Outliers are diminished or dismissed when they actually represent the human factor of the game. The reality drives the stats. The stats do not drive reality. If the fact that someone fails to achieve a goal 87% of the time leads you to believe they will continue to do so 100% of the time, that is as big a failing as not understanding why the math led to that conclusion.
I have no desire to perpetuate this belaboured point and I will let it drop here. I just wish you could accept the notion of people not accepting the stats at face value is out of a continued desire for improvement and love for the team, not a lack of understanding the math. - Tonybere
Please ignore him from now on. He doesn't act in good faith and we won't have a blog soon if he continues to be a part of it |

His offense is shooting the puck 100mph way wide of the net or directly into a defender - picklerick
I believe that is attributed to him barely getting PP time during most of his tenure due to the emergence of Fox.
It also doesn't help that Miller has had Donkey Brain far too often the last couple of seasons. Though they both looked much better separated. |

Yes, that was addressed in my last paragraph.

I can't understand why they want to go back to Atlanta for a third time, but what do I know.
If I recall, Kansas City has no real interest in an NHL team. Houston would be nice to have an in-state Texas rivalry. Frankly, I really don't want to the league to expand anymore and further dilute the talent pool. But I'm not the one that stands to make several billion dollars so I'm not winning that battle - eichiefs9
I think they already have too many teams too, but I am just speculating where this cash grabbing league is going to go next. |

I will die on the "Miller is a net positive" hill. He makes some ridiculously bad looking mistakes from time to time, which stand out in everyone's memories, but overall he helps the team. I would love more from him but he is young, cost controlled, can skate, is big, and tremendously skilled. Just has to put it all together. |

I agree and have tons of hope. He needs a really steady season coming up to help cement that belief. |

The respect only goes one way and that is a recipe for more shenanigans. Better off just full on detoxing and seeing where we end up. Hopefully Jan checks back in at the end of the day and sees mostly hockey talk with some normal, good natured poop talking. Then he goes on to write a pulitzer price winning article because of how invigorated seeing us happy again made him |

@JeffMarek
The Dallas Stars are buying out the remainder of Ryan Suter's contract.
With one year remaining on Suter's deal this move will add $1.4 million on the Stars cap for the next two seasons.
The Stars will save $1.4 million with the buyout.
Ryan Suter getting bought out again
Collecting two different paychecks to do nothing. What a dream. |

Trouba and Miller both have that oh-so-sought-after ability to shoot the puck directly into the feet/legs of the first forechecker about 85% of the time. If something could be done about that one thing, we would be in way better shape most games!! |

Did anyone notice or was it mentioned that Alex Meruelo has abandoned his ownership and will not bring the Coyotes back in 5 years? - JRR1285
Also not mentioned, unless I missed it in all of the BS from yesterday, but Sather is officially retired.

Was mentioned yesterday. Thank God.
I'd love to see a Trouba trade today. Freeing up $8M would be incredible. I was in favor of bringing Trouba back, but if we could replace him with a cheaper 3rd D option and spend that money on a much needed top 6 winger, they have to do it

Not sure he can be moved Till July 1st, since that is when his contract changes to a 15 team limited trade clause |

I was thinking about this though, he still has a NMC until Monday, and then Monday he has got to give a list of 15 teams he would approve a trade to
he could very well list the 15 most likely teams when looking at cap space, need, etc and make it difficult
he could very well be reading our blog right now and plan on blocking all the teams we mention |

I pray that we don’t create a RD problem by trying to solve the RW problem. That’s why having a strong farm system is so important. |

If Trouba read this blog, he'd make another anti bullying post on Twitter
Makes sense about the NMC thing though. I doubt he is looking at cap space but what do I know. If I had to bet it's bottom feeder teams and Canadian teams. Hopefully Detroit wants their hometown bruiser |
