If Utah wants to make a big splash the only player that would do that from the Flyers is TK, but again if its TK versus Marner, Utah would probably pick Marner, though I would pick TK. Now that the Senators traded their 25th pick, I doubt they will trade their 7th pick also, though they might swap picks with the Flyers if the Flyers were to throw in a player also. I don't want the Flyers to trade down, they are in a good spot to get a good player, but the Flyers need to move into the top 7 if they want to get a potential top pairing defenseman. I wonder now that Michkov is coming do the Flyers focus on getting a center with their 12th pick, like Helenius if he is there which according to some mock drafts he will be.

I don’t think Ottawa is done. I honestly think they will be very busy and if the right guy is there for a trade they will pull the trigger on # 7 as well.
I love TK….but I’d take Marner. I agree on the Moving down…but that depends on DBs board I guess….I really think this is a week where by he might be able to get something large done, beyond the MM news that has me somewhat excited to watch the kid sooner rather then later.

On the topic of JR getting the HOF nod, wanted to share a quick fun story from when I was a kid.

When me and my dad would go to games when I was a kid, we always would go early to sit close and watch the warm-ups. And I remember one time, I was probably 10-11 years old, I made a sign "Let's go Flyers, can I have a puck?"

I held it up during warm-ups and JR immediately skated over when he saw it and tossed my dad the puck to give to me.

Small memory, but still always remember it. JR always struck me as a good dude.

Not sure if he'll ever see this, but if he does, thanks JR for making a young hockey fan's day and giving him a memory.

That was my thought too. THAT would be the basis for a hockey trade. Necas a little younger, TK a more gritty proven scorer. And then an 8 year contract to Necas would not only be a little cheaper, but would be more acceptable given his age.
