If Utah wants to make a big splash the only player that would do that from the Flyers is TK, but again if its TK versus Marner, Utah would probably pick Marner, though I would pick TK. Now that the Senators traded their 25th pick, I doubt they will trade their 7th pick also, though they might swap picks with the Flyers if the Flyers were to throw in a player also. I don't want the Flyers to trade down, they are in a good spot to get a good player, but the Flyers need to move into the top 7 if they want to get a potential top pairing defenseman. I wonder now that Michkov is coming do the Flyers focus on getting a center with their 12th pick, like Helenius if he is there which according to some mock drafts he will be.

Yeah, there's a lot of potential reasons. He's a phenomenal player, Marner, but they can't keep running back the same mix and expect different results. They need change. Kinda fun to see them fail every year though.

Sabres should be able to do almost whatever they want. After the Skinner buyout they will have $30mil in cap space, all of the big ticket players locked up and all of their picks.
