Two and a half hours folks
This is great.
Lots of action the past couple days already. - BetweenTheDots
If Philly or Montreal make a big offer for the #2 do you think KD bites? |

I wouldn't trade Rinzel he's one of the few RD in the system and has more value IMO than Mcgroarty. - SaskHawkFan
I'd think long and hard before I moved Rinzel. For me, besides Vlasic, Rinzel took the biggest jump of all the prospects in the system. Yes, he's a right shot, mobile, good size at a premium position but I'd argue a power forward is a premium position too cuz it's so hard to fill.
Hadn't thought about it but I bet WPG would ask for Rinzel in a McGroarty deal.

If he is taking Leshunov he could, if he's taking Demidov he can't.

Prayers to the hockey gods that Seth Jones wants out and is sent out. Don’t care if he’s useful now, it’s about when the window opens.
Whoever we get at 2 will be mgmt’s stake, and they will need to hang their hat on that choice and resulting development.
Pick 18 is bonus. Hoping we get someone who falls or we package it for young help ready to work with Bedard. |

No, they can't offer enough to make him trade back.

Jones is not and will not be an issue. He's good now and won't be an issue later. Vlasic ended up having some of the top defensive metric playing with him. Yes, Vlasic gets credit there, but don't fool yourself that Jones didn't help him. |

Like Chunk said the 2nd pick is between Demi and Levshunov. What if the other clubs see Levshunov is the prize. I can see the Ducks taking him at 3. I was surprised they took Carlsson last year over Fantilli. |

I also give him credit for helping raise McCabe's trade value last year. The consensus on here seems to be he is a good second pair guy on a good team. We need to know whether or not he wants to be here. If he wants out, then find a good return for him. A guy that wants out can kill a locker room, especially one this young and impressionable. |

A 3rd? Shouldn't NJ be giving us something to take him? Walman and a 2nd to SJ for Detroit future considerations |

It's unfortunately why red font had to be created for this place. |

Never said that. We’ll see in the last two years of that deal and he’s slowing down. |

The Devils are trying to clear space to sign Pesce, instread of getting another Zaitsev, why don’t the Hawks try and sign Pesce? Even KD has said he is not looking for more trades for draft picks. |

Preach! The Lafferty Mikheyev trade should be considered the baseline level trade (in terms of asset quality gained) that KD should be making at this point. |

Even assuming a person is smart enough to be a GM some aren't cut out for the pressure that comes with it. A few days after deciphering/projecting what a handful of 17/18 yr olds will be on and off the ice when they're 25 they go into free agency where they walk a field full of landmines.
GMing ain't easy. - Mr Ricochet
This board projects much earlier than 25.

$4.4 for the next 3 years need better than a 3rd to take on that contract.
Doubt Pesce will want to come to Chicago (love to have him)- he will have many better placed suitors who will overpay ($ and term) because they feel they are 1-2 pieces from serious contention.

Things are getting interesting.
#2 for #5, #21 and a prospect?
Then #18 and #21 for #10?
Iginla/D!ckinson at #5, Yakemchuck/Eiserman at #10 - boilermaker100
Now this is what I call a legit caution to the wind swing.. Very interesting, BM, especially if Buium was there at #5 even though I'm a D!ckinson guy...
Read somewhere that D!ckinson plays like a pro and looks like a pro. Indeed, and I really think his offense is underrated. Kid has a booming shot but shows very good offensive IQ both in the Ozone and off the rush.
