Only Phillips and Crevier with QOs. Most of the rest were arbitration eligible so they may want to sign them as UFAs instead. - totem
Those are the only ones I wanted to be qualified. Don´t care if we have seen the last of the others. |

Honestly who's better on the market then Kane....I would love to see Kaner and Bedsy playing together |
|
|
|
I saw this Rick,
Why can't Boisvert play 3C in the Bigs? He has the size and hunger to do so. He's not a fancy perimeter player. He can skate.........
I dunno if he's got the tools to play cecking centre as a fall back...morec like they would trdae Sacha if he faisl as a 2nd Line centre in the NHL and they need him to play down.
YOU wish this kid skated like Bolland did. - wiz1901
Wiz, Aside from the fact they're both French-Canadians, any comparison between Danault and Boisvert? |

Plenty of trades happen in the NFL draft, cameras in the war rooms, not sure it won't end of up being just as good or better.
Hate that the clock really doesn't seem to matter, and WTF with a time out?? - vabeachbear
Vbear, I just ain't a smell the roses kinda guy. IIRC as a season ticket holder the Hawks were giving stuff to us if we went to the draft at the UC back when. I didn't even consider it.
But, I get a charge reading about steve and his boy's adventure. Sharp guys, taking it in, talking to all 32 teams if they want, getting pics, families schedule their vacations around this stuff cuz you get rare access......... And I'd guess you hang in the hotel lobbies and you see everyone.
Why take that away from the fan and the sport itself? Why take away the chance to make new and happier fans? Why take away a week where the hockey world is all in one spot and the attention that brings to the sport and access it gives to the fan and the press?
I hate that it's no more.

They probably could have signed Kane, but KD already shot that down. |

And after Levshunov I'm very very interested in this Spellacy kid. I'm guessing I'll be watching loads of Windsor games next yr..... If the kid hits you have some degree of a power forward. |

GMing ain't easy, Pops. But man, most thought Boqvist was a bad pick in real time with Dobson and Bouchard on the board.

If true that Phillips was qualified he becomes waiver eligible. My guess then for Levy is one more year at Mich. State or Rockford.
I eould guess right now 6 of the 7 D are:
Jones, Vlasic, Kk, Murphy, Kaiser, Phillips - LAHawk
IMO they are doing the right thing with Phillips. Give the kid proper looks until he "gets it" or he's beat out for a roster spot.... There are some NHL traits/skills/size/talent in the kid to work with.

The NFL has monsterous crowds at the draft, whatever city it is in. The players are there also, its just the execs that will be back in their war rooms

One of those 4 to play to play with Bedard would be great. Stephenson would be a nice sign to play 2nd line center but Henrique might be a good target given they could probably get him on a shorter deal. |

Maybe that’s why KD didn’t qualify Raddysh, he’s targeting Katchouk. Makes sense. |

I know that the Hawks are really tight lipped, but I haven’t seen one reference of Stankos to Chicago. I am even hearing if New York can do the Trouba deal to Detroit, they would take a run at him.
I also don’t think he will go to a team to be used as a trade chip at the TDL. If they sign him, they have him for 3 plus years. Doesn’t seem to be a move KD is prepared to make yet. - LAHawk
Not so sure about that. Both Leshunov and Boisvert were strongly hinted at by Powers and Pope.
Boisvert from like a month before the draft. |

Stephenson sure looked like he lost half a step during the playoffs this year. Which would be concerning because speed is/was his game.

Or it could be KD got as tired as the fans of watching him go into the corners and come out with his hair perfect. |

Nashville and Carrier are apparently close to an extension. He would have been a good option for the 3rd pairing. |

If the Hawks move on from all the unqualified RFAs I won’t lose any sleep over it. It would have been nice to re-sign Anderson, but Kyle can easily find an equivalent level replacement. |

Per Frank Seravalli:
Sources say #GoBolts have agreed to terms on a contract with Jake Guentzel after a productive Sunday.
Details have been hard to come by as Tampa has other moving parts, and info might not come out until tomorrow. |

Thanks, Paraczak was a favorite to watch all year. Kind of surprised that he went that early, thought he would fall a little bit. Will have to make sure I get the OHL streaming next year as all the CHI prospects are there.
