Eiserman is 9 days from being in next year's draft. Of course he game has immaturity. Falling in the draft will humble him and he is going to a program that will help him work on his flaws.
I hope he is there at 18 and the Hawks take him. I want the kid who is pissed off.
The guy I hope they land is Skahan in the 2nd rd. He is big, mobile and mean. Plus RH. - Elbows15
I’d bet Eiserman is taken long before 18. Whatever flaws he has you can’t teach what he can do. Any team needing scoring has to take a long look. I can’t for the life of me figure out why he’s dropped on almost all the draft lists? |

Just saw Demidov walking from the show at the Fontainebleau. He is bigger than I thought. Wide shoulders. I saw Levshunov and said, "Blackhawks are picking you tomorrow night." He said, "We will see tomorrow." Ran into Frank Seravelli. He asked me where we were from and when I said Chicago, he said, "I can't understand why everyone is so down on the young defensemen. It takes a while to get good in the NHL and they will be good." - stevefrmglencoe

On Bedard rookie of year wins $ pay-out;
The Athletic:
While Bedard has triggered performance bonuses, Chicago has plenty of cap space to cover it this season. According to Puckpedia, Bedard hit a maximum of four “A” level bonuses, which equate to a total of $1 million.
He didn’t reach any “B” level bonuses, though, and those pay $2.5 million.
When Panarin won the Calder, there was great interest in whether he would hit his bonuses because of what it meant for the Blackhawks’ salary cap. Panarin had Chicago paying major cap overages in 2016 and 2017. It was nearly $4 million after one season. |

My guess
2- Levshunov
18 - Michael Brandsegg Nygard - paulr
MBN would be an excellent choice, I just think he’s gone by 18. |

Assuming the Hawks keep picks 2 and 18, who does everyone think the Hawks will draft tomorrow? Not who you want, but who you think KD will pick.
My guess:
2 - Levshunov
18 - Hage - DarthKane
Celebrini
#2 - CHI - Levshunov
Demidov - Lindstrom - Buium -
Silayev - Parekh - D!ckinson -
Iginla - Sennecke - Yakemchuk -
Helenius - Eiserman - Brandsegg-Nygard -
Jiricek - Hage - Luchanko
#18 - CHI - Catton
Still looking for a way for this to happen

David Pagnotta over at da fourt periad tweeted that Aaron Ekblad fella is on the trading block
Speaking of an Ekblad comp, use guys think Levshunov should be in the AHL to start next season? Or continue with the Spartans?

Yup!
Unless there is a "can't miss" D man, they should use any high draft pick(top 5 or so) on finding dynamic forwards that can play at a high level with Bedard.
Everything I've read and seen, Demidov and Levshunov are pretty evenly ranked. I know they should always draft the best player available, but since there is no clear cut BPA after Macklin, you use the high draft pick on a fwd.
Then use the other 1st round pick that is in the teens on a dman and a 2nd round pick as well.
If you ask me they should be doing this next season as well.

Per Mark Lazerus:
Kyle Davidson left the door open for more forward signings and trades, but seemed to be trying to temper expectations heading into free agency. Sounds like he's comfortable with a healthy Taylor Hall and Andreas Athanasiou being the big upgrades. - DarthKane
Purposely f'ing with Lazerus to make him look bad, (a job so easy a 5 yr old could do it)

At least draft day is here
All the speculation and b.s. will stop, and we'll know who the 2 new Blackhawks are tonight.
Then the fun with watching them play(and hopefully improve) begins. |

Eiserman sure took a nosedive. You’d think that offensive upside would have kept him in the top five.
One guy who intrigues me is Stian Solberg, a similar guy as Moritz Seider, good skater, some skill, defensive defenseman who is meaner than (frank). Get him to rein in the hit everything that moves and play a more responsible game where he hits when there’s an opportunity and you have a guy who can fit in as the second pairing shutdown guy. - paulr
He hasn't dropped out of it yet............

Why do i have this weird feeling in my gut that the Hawks are taking Levshunov and the board is going to go into instant panic mode |

Well there is certainly no precedent for anything like that happening here. Ever!
Was scrolling through the list of names in FA for a 2nd line center and was thinking Adam Henrique might be a good option. |

6/28 is finally here.
#2 Levshunov
#18 Trade or Boisvert - I’d pick Hage, but he’ll be gone by #18
This is who I think they will pick, but I don’t have a clue who actually ends up on the Hawks, should be an interesting night here. |

Would still like to see the Hawks take Demidov and hoping a lot of the smoke around Levshunov is KFC being mysterious and unpredictable.
Last year there was no way he was taking anyone but Bedard with that first pick. This year there are questions who he'll take at 2 and 18 as well as if they trade up from 18...or something else entirely.

Read the same piece and thought the very same thing. Henrique is 34 yrs old so he can't think he'll get a 5 yr deal. You can probably get him on a 2 yr deal with an overpay.
Add 29 yr old TT too and your top 6 wouldn't be the laughing stock it currently is.
I'd sniff around 27 yr old Debrusk.
Sprong? The best shot in the league you've never heard of.
Olofsson at 27 might take an overpay prove it contract after a horrid yr?

This is the way I see it playing out too, Lou. They just can't resist a big RS, physical, mobile Dman with skill in his hands....... I have Demidov as the BPA at 2 and Buium as the best Dman.
I just have a feeling Boisvert fits what the organIzation digs. A + skater, plays center, better size than the majority of the pipeline and is skilled can finish with a good motor/compete........ Simply said to my eye the kid has the look.

Right on, Vbear..... The pointy heads have been speaking for 2 months. Time for the organIzations themselves to have their say.

Happy draft day people
Levshunov at 2
Jiricek at 18
On another note rumor has it Philly loves Eiserman and SJ does to.
Watching some of Eisermans tape i came across a couple of plays where he didn't even make an effort defensively? At least that's what i thought i saw. |

Have changed my mind - I think they should take Demidov and deal with defence later in the draft. And I think there might be a link somehow between Agent Milstein and the Mikheyev trade and a Demidov selection. If the kid is Pavel Bure like electric as some have said, take him.
But if the Habs offered their #5 and one of their previously drafted good young kids or #5 and #26 for #2 would you do it? |
