It was rumored that he saw leading neurologist at the university of Michigan when he was rehabbing. Not sure you can ever get 100% certainty with brain injuries, but I'd say going to level of professional is probably the best you can do.

Regardless of health he may not be the right fit for 3c. And he definitely isn’t playing a full season next year.

Give me Matt Roy to replace trouba please

- nyrangers2

I betcha the team that signs Roy regrets it eventually like we do Trouba right now. He gonna be overpaid imo

Yea I thought of him too. Or Desharnais. I think he got scratched because Broberg kind of arrived for Edmonton

Simply for their size and nothing else

I don’t get why he wouldn’t be a good fit for 3c if he’s healthy. He can produce 5v5, is a big body, has shown he can be apart of an effective forecheck…

At the start of last season, everyone was in agreement that he was ready to take the next step. Now, after an injury riddled season, he’s not a good fit for 3c duties? A spot he’s been effective in historically…

Yeah I'm not saying the Rangers are being reckless or anything by playing him, just that it's a big time crapshoot and another blow to the head could be disastrous.
- eichiefs9

Oh 100%. I did didn't take your comment as implying the Rangers were risking him. I assume Chytil and the Rangers medical team have to work together. Especially now given how much scrutiny the league went through trying to hide effects of CTE.

yea I don’t get it either. He missed 70 games and the 10 he played it looked like he was going to explode this season

If there was no LTIR I’d be worried about it, so it’s almost the same as having a different player. And his value probably isn’t great because GMs could be scared off so the reward is nill of trading him

Doesn't matter, if Drury wants to change the way this teams culture, Kakko, Chytil, Roslevic, Wrennberg, Miller all have to go. IMHO.

Its no secret Ive never been a fan of Chytil. If they can find a taker, he should be traded.

Miller and chytl are both big but play small. I’d just prefer a better two way center for that particular line. His game may be too one dimensional for the PO

For peanuts tho? I think they already said he’s locked into 3C. I thought that was posted yesterday

We brought in Trocheck to be that guy, with Chytil supposed to be the 2C. Now Trocheck is 2C and we'd like to have another Trocheck to play 3C too.

Tro has just been too good to play as the 3c but he’s the type of player you like for that role. Chytls defensive game and FO worry me for that 3c role. Good skilled player but is he the right type of player needed tbere

I like Chytil but I can agree with those concerns. I think some of the Rangers best stretches recently have been with Chytil as 3C (2022 playoffs come to mind) but if we could bring in a trocheck-lite to play that role I'd be all for it

Define better, though. Chytil leans more offense than defense, but I don’t recall him being a liability out there.

It’s totally unrealistic to think every player they bring in is going to be a 5v5 producer, a big body that plays with snarl, and a great 2 way player. You’re suggesting they add, basically, the ideal player every team is after.

Chytil is a good 3c. You build the qualities you’re suggesting around him (a la Cuylle)

I’d really like Colton to get added somehow. Keeping Chytil or not moving him to the wing, kinda ends that.
