10.4 million (Kakko and trouba) is a lot of money to play with

Panarins has 2 more seasons. His line at least contributed. Fox is a Norris trophy winner so he made his money.

Zib is a whole other story.

Trading KK isnt a big wave move. Trouba would be.

3 makes sense if no return from SJ but NY would have to give Detroit something. If not, even with 1 or 2, Walkman had value in the open market.

Not really, we need a RW so trading a RW would mean we need another RW. So thats 2 RW's in need and then a solid 3-4 defense man. Those 3 players coming in would need to average 3.5 per in salary. Thats tough.

As much as the perception is he was brutal, he had 24 points in 20 playoff games in 2022 and 16 in 15 this year. granted, much was on the PP, but he still was able to be somewhat productive. Just not 5x5

Idk about that still, othmann traded. There isn’t any reason to because they can get a good player without trading him. He’s still Drurys first draft pick. Which is like your first born child for a GM. I’d be stunned if they traded him

Someone is going to RW, either Cuylle or othmann. I think we worry about players be able to switch wings too much. It’s not as hard as it is on defense. Othmann was playing RW in Hartford as far as we know. At least a little bit of time he did

Othmann plays with whoever to ease him into the NHL. It would be fine imo to do that for a year. 9-10 mins a game. Lavy just has to play the bottom 6 more

Yeah, we are most certainly speculating.
Nothing about the Chytil Saga of 2023-24 was typical. So to me, it is reasonable to surmise that he may not have been dealing with typical concussion issues. It was floated on here that it could have been vertigo that set him back after his collapse in the pre-practice skate. That would make a lot of sense with the way he roared back to life after the season.
I agree with those that say we just treat him like any other player until proven otherwise.

5v5 is most important, especially in a tight series. He beat up on Washington then disappeared halfway thru the Canes series. We wont win unless our first line produces.

He turtles against tougher opponents, he is showing it more and more every year.
