I joked to a director of player development that he was the guy to watch (because he was my favourite player) then he shot up the draft boards. Might be a bit of a by product of playing for a loaded Knights team though. Probably a safe bet to make the Show though because he has great motor and enough speed with some skill.

Not a skill player knock but everything I can see says they probably could have taken elich and picked him with the 2nd rounder they acquired.

I can envision parts of Alberta where there may be similar concerns, it is essentially little Texas. But I've lived in Ontario, Newfoundland, and Nova Scotia before living in Alberta and even though living in a small city, it's less redneck than anywhere else I've lived in Canada and seems to be twice as stable as the rest of the country.

I have no loyalty in that kinda stuff I couldn’t care less….i will say wife and visited NS a few times when we were dating and ended up scooping I’d a couple income places out there (Bridgewater/Lunenburg). We sold the Bridgwater one a few years back. Still holding the Lunenburg one to beautiful to give up just yet man. Banff is one of the most scenic places I’ve ever been.

Nova Scotia is nice but the motivation level there is an abomination, and real estate seems to be Sky rocketing. Good investment on the places I'm sure, my mother's house has doubled in value in the last couple years.

Idk. Maybe there’s something we don’t know.

But one of those guys you mentioned will pan out and be a solid contributor.

Hopefully one of the two picks (Danford) and the 2nd rounder end up being a roster player.

He was rated lower on most. However Elite Prospects had him at 30th. I remember some Easton Cowan guy being a mid to late 2nd round ranking. Such a crapshoot at this stage of the draft. So easy to go back in a year or two and find the few guys that ended up being better.

Man super lazy eh!! Holy cow. That’s why we ended selling Bridgewater place - had a property man agent group out there but honestly the tenant situation was hot and cold over the time we held onto it….Lunenberg is too beautiful. Family loves getting out there as much as we can. Wouldn’t live there but amazing to go out on vacations

You're right. Cowan and Minten were picked earlier than they were projected and it's worked out well so far. Benefit of the doubt I guess but this seems like a huge miss. Solberg was a perfect fit imo. Emery, Greentree or Elick would have worked too
