Can’t wait to see who they take with this 3rd.

Do any Comcast chodes have a kid who’s dream is to play in the NHL

Is Danny's son draft eligible yet? He should come out in a wheelchair, now that would be hilarious.

Scouting notes: Luchanko has all the makings of a dream bottom-six role. Given the offensive instincts and abilities he has shown this season, Luchanko has a better ability to drive play than many believe. He's an excellent two-way player, a rare feat for a very young player in a draft class. The combination of production, development and a later birthday give Luchanko a projection closer to middle six than bottom six.

Reads like Ryan Poehling's pre-draft scouting report.

I don't know if this is a good pick or a bad pick. I'll tell you in 2-3 years as we see how Luchenko develops. All I can say is Luchenko is a center with above average speed and good skill, plus already has NHL size and will only fill out more, maybe even grow another inch or two. Flahr is a very good drafter and has done a good job with the Flyers. Everyone hated when the Flyers traded down and got York, and look how that turned out. I just think we need to see how this turns out and not rush to judgement. This clearly was not the Flyers first choice. They desperately tried to trade up and couldn't do it, and obviously didn't like Helenius and Buium enough.
- jd250

I don't know if the pick is good or bad either but you keep saying that Flahr is a very good drafter. Simply not the case. He's an average drafter.

Ohh but they made sure to get a guy out there to shout out let’s get ready to rumble.

This is a pathetic, antiquated franchise full of (frank)ing scum. Top to bottom, and every one of them associated with it.

Comcast doesn’t have the balls to hold them accountable.

Imagine the (frank)ing losers cheering this poop on next season.

JD is a RD

Buium is a LD.

They don’t compete. In fact, he was probably projected to be his pairing partner in due time.

- Hesh_

It’s not about those 2 competing. It’s that they consider their defense as not in need of a 1D. That’s poor evaluation.

I think the Flyers already have players like Buium .. they need size and a shutdown guy, which is why I am so high on Solberg.
- jd250

No, they don't need that. They need speed and skill.

I never said they would get him at 32 .. they will have to trade up to get him
- jd250

So after drafting another Scott Laughton you want them to trade up for another Ristolainen. This franchise is hopeless

Go look it up .. if a team gets 2 NHL players from a draft that is a good draft. 3+ players is an excellent draft.
- jd250

You should look it up the next time you criticized Hextall's drafting. Such a hypocrite.

So he’s a Laughton replacement, if he pans out. Spectacular.

Not what I wanted or what the team needed at all.

I’m floored buium was there for them and they passed. Can’t believe he was there at 12. F this team.
- Just5

100%. Take him and 1 of York/drysdale/Zeev gotta emerge as a really good pp1 qb. And pp2. Just dumb I think but we shall see

I feel bad for Michkov. Kid forced his way to the Flyers for some reason and is going to be the next Giroux. If he’s smart he pulls a Gauthier.

A lot of summaries call this guy a bottom 6 or middle 6 guy. But then I’ve seen where a couple people compared him to Suzuki. I guess we have to wait and see and trust that the Flyers staff knows what they’re doing. He could be another JOB or another Mike Richards or another Scott Laughton. Wasn’t a name anyone’s been talking about so frankly I am not excited or disappointed.

Passing on Buium says they see Drysdale as their 1D.

This is the comment I was referring to.

And yeah, they are not paying attention to the blue line.

Bonk had a promising year at least. But the prospect pool on defense does not have any first line guys. That’s true.
