I love it. Great reminder as to why I’ve given up on this team. A 2/3 C at 13. For a 3rd round pick. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
- Quetzalcoatl

There’s no way they couldn’t have traded 12 for a better NHL ready center.

Bill’s gonna try and spin this tomorrow but it’s an absolute turd of a pick. Not the player. The decision by the GM.

What is the point of trading for a pick and then sitting there and letting the clock run down???

This is GM 101 on how to lose your job. You always take the best player available and don’t draft for need. These players are minimum 2-3 years away and your team can look radically different in that time. This isn’t the NFL.

If they picked Konsta Helenuis I don’t think we would have a problem with it but Luchenko was ranked late 1 round pick. I hope they got it right but they definitely went off board with this pick.

I’ve been waiting to drop this comment for you fuq heads that said no way to trade pick 12/32 col’25 to get pick #4.

You see what you get? It would’ve basically been close to a farabee/laughton/laughton type players for what many think (demidov) with elite talent.

You make that trade when building after acquiring draft capital. That would be smart. If building you then trade tk laughts bee and recoup as much draft capital as you can to off set some.

But nah. Let’s roll with with trade down a spot and take a reach and pass on a potential 1d.

I would of been upset they passed on Buium with Helenuis, but at least the thought process would make sense. Instead they draft for depth.

Swing for the fence and draft Dean Letourneau.

The hilarious part is if they traded for #4 for that package, I wanted the Flyers to take Buium....oh the irony.

Was anyone here at the combine? Just curious wouldn’t crap on this kid… sounds like Mike Richard more than Laughlin. Truth is it’s a crapshoot… I remember when this board was drooling over NP. That turned to poop

I can almost bet the grades for the Flyers 1st round is going to be a D at best.

I'd rather watch then listen. The Flyers fell for his performance for Canada which made his stock rise. He would be lucky to be a 40 point defense center like Laughton.

Nah his scouting reports say bottom six with middle six upside. Whatever he did at the combine is great but it hasn’t translated on ice.

I'm tired of hearing this....if they were all luck why do teams in EVERY sport pay people to show up to watch players? Answer why?

Just wait for the great Pronman list to come out and boom, easy peezy.

Shea Weber is going to the hall of fame after be passed up by everyone in in the NHL’s most deepest drafts in 2003. How does this happen?

Right…. At least you can then say why tried to get the very thing you claim to need. High end talent. This team just will never learn. Status quo. Just sign tk and put me out of my misery. Won’t bottom out. Reaches for picks. Passes up clear better players with way higher upside just amazing. Surely they’ll market a great name (Jett) to get the morons like jd to hawk-tuah all over that thang.

Funny thing is I wanted them to maybe try to trade up a little for Jett. From pick 32. Lmmfao.

Richie had twice the amount of goals pre-draft, had a Memorial Cup and was one of the top players for Canada at the World Under 17 tournament.

With all respect to Jett, his resume/profile is nowhere close.

Elite talent fell to them. Literally, it was in their lap. They played it perfectly. And then they decided they needed to have Scott Laughton 2.0 ready to replace Scott Laughton 1.0.

But them not trading actually somehow worked out.
