I'm thinking:
Heinan - JTM - Boes
DeBrusk - Petey - Hoggy
Joshua - Blueger - Garland
Sherwood - Suter - Podk
Heinan scored more than Suter last year in a smaller role, this way it gives the Canucks a lot of depth on their Cs - NewYorkNuck
That's not a bad forward group. Maybe some help during this season either via trade or hopefully internal growth. |

Skinner (frank)ing sucks - CanuckDon
The last 3 seasons he put up 92 goals and 196 points - in Buffalo….
That doesn’t scream “fawking sucks” to me
The Dudes contract was insane and he needs a change of scenery but he's a good player
I would’ve liked to see him with EP and Debrusk |

I'm not sure Tocchet would have but I hear what you're saying. At worst he gets 4th line minutes but if you're trailing you play him for scoring. For $2M, it's a great signing. He's banking on the Oilers effect to outscore his defensive issues and the Oilers are banking on the same thing about their whole team. |

CANUCKS SIGNING PART THREE!!!
Vancouver Canucks
@Canucks
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Danton Heinen on a 2-year contract with a $2.25M AAV.
Happy with this one. Seems Allvin is master chef cooking behind the scenes - NewYorkNuck

Yep it's a good call. Benning provides the Core and Allvin is rounding it out nicely.
Super impressed today how we addressed the needs.
Many good things ahead.

Quinn said he loves the Sherwood signing bcus he “pissed everybody off in the playoffs”
That’s great news - I didn’t watch him that closely to realize he was such a pesky, impactful guy.
After hearing Allvin’s presser I’m pretty sold on all his decisions/signings
We’re definitely a tougher team - hopefully we can create a little more offence and kept up the same level of defending |

Faster & grittier. The PK has to be a big priority. I’ve said special teams are our biggest importance for the PO’s. |

He reminds me of like Burrows (before he on the Sedin line) or Ruutu, likes to mix it up, get in players faces and chip in the occasional goal/assist. |

Absolutely. He was also a big time scorer in the A a few years back. This kid could be a Joshua. He has a great shot |

Dude they missed out on Guenztal. Lakkeramaki isn’t ready. What’s wrong with having a $20M top line and a $19M second line?
They needed to improve top 6 forwards. Lindy not wanting to resign they went away from strong top 9 middle. So adding scoring power forward with high end speed is good.
We’ll let RT figure it out who meshes better for Petey on Debrusk. Garland did have chemistry with Petey. So there is your help. Dak has chemistry with Garland and can help Petey on cashing in on set ups. Dak’s got another level according to RT.
RT now has more options. Seems
more speed and toughness. Plus a lot of players that can play his system both up and down the line up. - Quinn's Quest
What does not getting Lindholm, Guentzel and Lekker not being ready have to do with what line to play Debrusk on?
I'm sure RT to will try mixing up things up in camp for a look but in reality the Gars/Blue/Joshua line isnt broken and is one hell of a unit. Don't fix what isnt broken. Exact same thing can be said about Millers line. Priority is to put 3 producing lines on the ice, not status quo.... They already made the mistake you are suggesting by bringing in a top 6 forward and instead of being patient with rounding out the top 6... they plopped Lindholm on a line that didnt need him after the injuries were sorted out. If they are going to make that mistake all over again, I will have some questions about the coaches.

You are misunderstanding what I'm asking QQ. He wants to put Petey with Gars and Joshua, and Debrusk with Miller and Boeser. I on the other hand want 3 lines that produce instead of status quo 2 lines like last season. So I think the sensible thing to do is keep the two awesome lines that worked last season together... be patient and try and get Hogz/Petey/Debrusk to work.
Read the post I quoted and it should make sense then.
