Completely agree, but I do understand why he (and most GM's, or me thinks Ehlers would've been dealt by now) wouldn't give up that kind of haul for a guy that might play 55 games for you.

I would think he'd have to know by noon tomorrow if Ehlers will extend, because if he won't make that deal, he's got to (or maybe he doesn't, which wouldn't surprise me) have FA wingers he'd like to offer contracts to.
