I love my Sabres because I have followed them forever. Honest question though, City is kind of meh and the team is a complete dumpster fire, why would anyone sign here? And, it is not a Buffa-tax thing.

Sabres could do 3 X $12 for Stamkos and he is still signing elsewhere. Could have offered Kane 4 X $8 and he is not signing here.

I ask, why would anyone sign here?

My guess is Jason Zucker (their "top6" who isn't close to top6) and Will Carrier for the 4th line. Then we'll get a line about how deals fell through and talks about the prospects.

If Stamkos comes it'll be for double digit millions and we'll lose one of Quinn or Peterka because of it.
