Teams that were in the “trade for a top 6 forward” pool.

Have been spending and signing free agents instead.

The Ehlers, necas , Zegras of the world can be had and maybe for cheaper.

Less demand now.

The Sabres potentially adding 3 grit guys with speed.

So a good mix for a 4th line.

They are fine, not even remotely close to being good enough to get this team close to the playoffs.
