Weekes saying $5M for Tanev. Better not be 6 years - Canada Cup
5x4 is somewhat palatable, but anything more is insane. |

Sucks, but I don't blame him.
Hopefully they can convince him that Keefe was a moron. - GreatGigInTheSky
Trade him to Dallas for Nils Lundkvist. Fresh start for Nils and get Nicky off with his brother.
Can trade Liljegren for whatever at that point |

6 years won’t be as ugly as it seems. Cap hit should be around $112 mill by then so it won’t even be 5% - Dozzer
The only point in giving a 34 year old 6 years is to get the AAV down. 6 years at $5M is a problem. It’s possible that the league said no to the first deal they did up. |

To be fair Jarnkrok I don’t mind… a line 3 bottom sixer and paid the appropriate $2.1 mill a year for it. It’s Kampf I don’t like… $2.4 mill for the 4th line C… yuck - Dozzer
I don't like Kampf, either. I think he needs to be traded.
And that's how I was on Jarnkrok, too. But buddy has done absolutely nothing to help the team come playoffs. Last 30 games and 7 points. 0 this last playoffs. I'm set to move on from him now. |

Either way, cap hits won’t seem nearly as bad as they have recently moving forward. |

Those both pale to the Reevo deal … still by far the biggest miss so far for Tre - |

Yes and no. Leafs are built to be contenders (I know I know lol) and the ducks aren’t. Means the ducks should pay a little more to bring in talent. |

Tyler Bertuzzi won’t be returning to the Maple Leafs. His value has out priced Toronto. He will land a deal elsewhere in the 4 year and over $5 mil per territory. |

It really is no big deal for the Leafs to LITR players for the last couple years of their contracts. Little circumvention-y but what isn’t these days? |

All I’m saying is he’s either benched like you mention or he ends up being a productive guy in his late 30s. $5 mill won’t seem like much by then. |

#TexasHockey did not qualify RFAs Sam Steel and Nils Lundkvist. Both can become UFAs on Monday.
Both are arbitration eligible. Stars gave up a first-round pick for Lundkvist in 2022. |

Well, they just traded for Kevin Hayes, so I think they got worse problems to deal with at the moment. |

Talks still ongoing between Sam Reinhart's camp and the Cup champion Panthers. Told it's likely going right down to the wire on that one. |

Too bad about Robertson, but his trade value is likely at an all time high. Heck of a shot, and put up a lot of goals in limited minutes. - Whipper
Are you thinking of his brother?
He’s Bracco 2.0 |

Robertson has played 87 NHL games at 23 to Braccos zero, ever. Pretty poop comparable |
