If TK signs for 8 years $64M, I would be fine with that, wouldn't you? TK clearly is not the scorer Guentel or Reinhart are, to me the market has been set for what TK is worth. If TK wants to hold off until next off season, the Flyers will trade him at the deadline and everyone will be happy. - jd250
I don't want him, trade him
By the time the Flyers are contenders tk will be on the decline |

Tell me where then you and others are getting your information that Luchenko would have been there at pick 20. - jd250
Who cares if he would or wouldn’t have been? There was a potential 1D available. Fell into their laps. You’re rebuilding. You take that player 110% of the time. Bad teams make decisions like that. It’s why they stay bad.
And then to admit that they drafted based on need is even worse. And then they proceeded to do it for the next 6 rounds. Their draft has been bashed by most every analyst. |

At least that is positive news. Fingers crossed as there is no turning back now. - Flyfly
Based on my limited knowledge of what I read about him and the gut feeling I get. I think Jett is going to be a pretty good player for the Flyers. However I don't get the feeling that he is going to be an all star level player or has potential to be elite. Maybe he has those hidden variables that are missed and he becomes a stud. Who knows. However when I read up on Buium, there are skills and talents that pop out that says with some of those elite skills, he can be a difference maker. It's the thinking process of how they went about it. Why they said they passed on Buium. I feel they passed on a potential top pairing puck moving transition defenseman, so incredibly important in today's NHL game for a potential strong 2nd line center.

The only players traded off the roster in this "rebuild" are Hayes, Provorov and Walker.

Laughton is eligible for an extension in less than a year. - Feanor
Can’t let him get a way, has to be some loyalty ….while a team like TBay tells their star captain who’s won a cup to pound salt. A bad move because FA’s see this and won’t want to sign with the lightning…oh wait Guentzal doesn’t give a flying (frank). |

Truly mean no disrespect but why do we even care about what Pitt does at this point? Are you hinting at the addition of Hayes? If so may I remind you that the Flyers are paying him to be on Pitt. |

They went center heavy in a draft that had very little center prospects. Of course that doesn’t mean there won’t be NHL centers that come from this draft, but it just blows my mind why the Flyers always think they are smarter than everyone. |

You forgot to mention the extension of their future top pairing defenseman traded 1 year in the deal...players don't like that either.
Oh wait Guentzal...money and tax...gimme gimme.

Soon we'll see reports of a Konecny extension at 8 years for 80 million.

Better in what? You have to be more descriptive. Improvement for next year, the future, better in pissing off fans?

He’s a solid prospect and @17 has a ton of room to get better and develop. I don’t like him a 12-13…but that doesn’t take away from what he is. They’re 2nd best prospect, only behind Michkov. (Maybe 3rd behind Bonk). |

I like that he is younger and appeared to be a quick riser. I am hoping the kid is a player and takes on a large role w/ the Flyers in the future. Everyone of us should hope the kid turns out to be a good/impactful player.

I’ve been quizzing a couple friends who do scouting about him…both really liked the guy. - landros 2
Did you happen to ask them if they would have taken Luchenko over Buium or Helenius? |
|
|
|
of course you don't. not one person thought you would. there is that culture word again. why the urgency to sign him now? can you help me understand that?
they have enough vets on the team. this team isnt as young as you want to believe. - hello it's me 2050
I don’t mind the signing…
Very next sentence
I however would like to see them trade some vets
Lmmfao. What vets? They keep signing them to extensions. Lmmfao |
