The one thing I’ll say about Drury is you almost never hear about what he’s doing until it happens. I remain cautiously hopeful

If not I’m out on Drury lol

Surprised to not see the Rangers mentioned as a team that would be in the mix for Stamkos. I get the reasoning, but that seems like it'd be a very Rangers-esque move to go after him.

NJ adding Pesce for Marino, which is an upgrade but not as big as everyone is making. Marchessault for the top six, a major addition, and Marksteom replacing Vanecek etc in net. Devils will be handful this year. Still need toughness in the lineup but a far better team than a month ago.

He had a solid year with the Canes last year. I always thought he was a Center. Would be good for the depth being that you can't really depend on Chytil. However, from what I am seeing, it seems he is a LW. Unsure how he will fit if that's the case

Was going to post something like this. You are succinct and exact.

Other than Detroit, Buffalo, Anaheim, Calgary, Stamkos is not going to get a huge pay day.

Best bet is to take the 3 x 8 from Tampa, retire a legend on a team that will contend for the cup again or get 3 plus bonus incentives for a year, which will apply to next year and then sign his 3 to 4 mill for 6 to 8 when Hedman rolls off his large salary and the cap goes up another 4mm.

They need give Lindgren and Schneider more money. Plus they have to have money for miller Laf and shesty. Rangers aren’t just looking at this year. Long term they need cap dollars. I’m not expecting anything big unless it’s a trade

Right. So if they trade/waive Trouba....they have plenty of cap space.

Gonna need at least 4.5 for Lindgren, so that leaves around 7 for a RW. But you have to take into consideration next year when Igor, Laffy and Miller need contracts. Igor will get at least another 4 to his current contract, Laffy another 2 and Miller another 1 million or so. That's 7 million the Rangers will need Cap Space for

When Brett Pesce's free-agent deal is finalized with #NJDevils, it's expected to come in at six years with an AAV in the $5.5M range.

Exactly. They probably get a guy like tiffoli or terravainen. Or maybe they make a surprise trade
