Stolarz hasn't played more than 28 games in a season and he's 30 so it's not like he has untapped potential. He pretty much is what he is. A big body that lets in bad goals and can't be trusted to play more than 20 games. That's not the goalie the Leafs need for when Woll gets injured.

They didn't need him, they got Swayman and Korpisalo is a solid split partner.

Boston's system always works well and they added some pieces that will work well with them.

I'm not saying Zadorov is the next Chara but Chara's career took a giant turn when he joined that team because their system improves players instead of asking them to do more they're capable of.

Chara's career took a big turn because for years after signing in Boston he was allowed to crosscheck anyone he wanted to - which was his go to defensive move. If Chara had been called like players are called now he simply wouldn't have had the career he had. I'm not saying he wasn't a very good player - but that he definitely benefited from that.

Zadorov may actually be better in Boston for similar reasons. I would have preferred if the Leafs would have taken money from Ekman-Larsen signing and used it for Zadorov.

I'll be honest, with everything the team has done/not done, I really don't understand how anyone can zone in on the goaltending to harp about.

It's pretty easily, to me at least, the best worked on part of the lineup.

Signed Woll to a very good deal, that doesn't even kick in until the season after the coming one. Signed a huge (frank)er with great numbers to be a backup/1B, and re-signed a guy (to league minimum) who is (has been) a legit starter in the league, when healthy.

That's a real tidy bit of business, far as I'm concerned.

Pretty easy to play in Florida last year, especially if we're talking about defensive goal prevention.

His stats are okay but he simply doesn't play enough games for that to matter.

If Woll can only play 35 games, Stolarz plays 28, somebody has to remember the season is 82 games + playoffs. They expecting a 3-way split with Murray? 27.3 games each?

Like I said, if the Leafs are buying an insurance policy, they got one with 30% coverage.

Stolarz - I think he was the best of the options that will allow Woll to grow.
Domi - is a good safe deal
Liligren - I am ok with this but I think he is being traded
Tanev - Don't like the term.. Tanev plays a hard game so I assume he is missing games and he is old.
OEL - He was solid last year.. better than Lily i think

Roberbaby - Requested a trade..Not sure what the return would be,

Vegas lost alot of guys.. They may be looking to get so offense back.. Marner maybe.

Willy has had issues with each coach he’s had.

We’ll see how Cheif handles him. But seeing how he makes a boatload of money, the pressure will be high to perform. Including playing defence, which he’s terrible at.

Just being observant here and saying what other people haven’t thought about.
