If he's the elite defensive specialist everyone wants to make him out to be, they shouldn't need to pay anyone. Take a mid round pick or a C prospect in return.

Definitely not, I'd be hoping a team at the other end of the spectrum from the leafs may have interest.

A team like Calgary looking to position themselves where they can keep selling and remain above the cap floor perhaps.
