You continue to make a fool of yourself. If you look at the post, his comments are mixed into the quoted part, rather than below in his comments. Due to not formatting the post properly using the quote feature. Making it look like many of his comments, were made by me. A 3rd party reading the post, would know who said what. I don’t know how you can’t question Richards and Carter’s professionalism. Richards didn’t do well with the media. There was a line called the allegiant of Poon. Lavi had to introduced dry Island. There seem to be a split between the young kids and the veterans which led to Carter and Richard‘s getting traded and the Flyers getting the captain they really wanted in Chris Pronger.

Side note, and no joke. I went to a Columbus blue jackets game against the Flyers not long after Jeff Carter’s trade. The guy who lets the players in and out of the parking garage was telling me how much of a dog Carter was. I mean the guy sulked to about having to play there, even though he had Rick Nash on his roster.

Oh did we forget about Richards’ pill addiction that kept him from hockey. It isn’t a little interesting that Richards has nothing to do with hockey now? Most players stay employed whether it be a scouting, coaching or trying to get into management.

I was punning on font (vessel, as in baptism font) and Calibri (common name for many italian wine companies).

Speaking of vino, the wisdom up until a few years ago was that red wine, in moderation, was good for you. Now there is a huge consensus that alcohol(in any quantity, if taken frequently enough), is bad. Unambiguously bad. Smoking level bad. (A single flaw was discovered in the old studies. The people who left the studies from the alcohol drinkers group were not random as had been supposed. They had much poorer health than the other 2 groups, and if that poor health was included in study results and factored in to the health effects of alcohol, the results were reversed)

Ireland, of all countries, will have warning labels on all bottles sold from 2026 that state the linkage between cancer and contents of bottle. Thailand will to. And apparently there is a bill introduced in Canada parliament to same effect.

Otoh, being a Flyers fan is also likely bad for you. As is reading HB. And doing both, I am sure, exponentially hastens your demise. And even more exponentially: your wished for demise.

Ilya Pautov just turned 18 and was a point per game player in the MHL. I wonder if those are considered bad stats for the MHL. Seems odd that he would last to.the 6th rd.

How does the USHL scoring leader last until the 5th round or whatever it was? What are his drawbacks?

He had a couple of draft-eligible teammates who scored at roughly the same rate and they went undrafted.

Now for the facts. Mike Richards had an 11 year NHL career. He was a top player on the last Flyers team to make the Cup finals in 2010. He was a key player and a two time Stanley Cup winner with the LA Kings. He was a two time top 5 vote getter for the Selke trophy including finishing as the runner up in 2009. Where was this promising career ruined? His issue was that he got addicted to pain killers but that was into the tail end of his career.

Most of us are all on record as giving GMDB until this summer. Aside from not being able to seal a deal in trading up (not an easy task and happy he didn’t overpay just to do it) and the occasional rumor, is anyone confident that this team looks any different at the start of the year? At what point do the Flyers acknowledge that this most important summer has come and gone without making needed changes?

Even if Briere doesn’t make the team look “better” on paper, it is very much a disappointment that the team doesn’t look different. Briere is had to make moves or the offseason is a failure.

Noah Powell does look like he might be a steal.

Everything I have read is that he has no interet in returning to NA. He is plssed about watching Peterson play the playofs, was really homesick, and doesn't want to come back.
