This used to be maybe we talk someone off the ledge, people were pissed, sure, it sucks not winning. But it never had that "See I'm right, you're wrong, this team sucks and needs a complete overhaul" --> Cool keep bringing that unrealistic thought to this board. Find a new hobby and stop posting the same content every time you post on here is how it feels.

Peace?

There is no peace, people argue on here all the time. There are just different levels of arguements. Your arguements with Tom and to a lesser extent myself, are taken to a different level.

I dont take what someone posts personally, that's there perspective, who cares, I just dont like it when you want Tom banned just for him speaking his mind, it's a public forum you can choose to ignore and not respond to him, it's your choice but you respond in an aggressive manner. You sound like a child in a temper tantrum when you whine for his ban.

Let's face facts here, if the Rangers won the Cup, there will still be arguing over something on this board. It's the Rangers

- Brukie

The other day you said ignoring someone is childish.

It’s confusing to me. You think people should be able to say what they want, but Tom doesn’t let that happen. His opinion is the only right one and everyone else has to align with it. Otherwise, he acts like a clown, disrespecting Jan and everyone else in this forum in the process.

Nice, I pivoted from teaching high school to Software Engineering. Got "unlimited PTO" --> pretty cool but feels like a trap if you 'use too much'

Nice.

I have read that "Unlimited PTO" can be seen as a scam recruiting tactic because like you said it can be a trap if they feel you are abusing it. I have also heard that some places simply just refuse to approve it or have "windows" for when you can use it.

yeah I will say they never denied it or anything. I think maybe I've taken like ~20 days off at most ina year but coming from the world of teaching where you had off summers it's like actually 20 days isn't anything even if some of my colleagues take like 0 days haha

Definitely a little bit of a scam. It’s a way for companies to lower their personnel liability on the balance sheet. If you quit or they terminate you, they aren’t responsible for paying you the balance of your pto.

Definitely. At least they are willing to approve it and let you take time.

Since I'm not a teacher I get a ton of time off. I get 16-17 paid holidays a year plus I accrue like 1.75 vacation days a month. I also get 5 personal and a lot of sick days.
