Ok but seriously what exactly do you want the team to do in this situation? They can’t trade him if no team is offering to trade, which they apparently aren’t given his reluctance to be traded. Drury can waive or buy him out, which very well may happen if a trade doesn’t materialize. So what is soft here

I know a lot are disappointed about the past two days. I am as well. But the rangers are still a good team heading into the season, even if no more changes are made. Maybe some kids get a shot. But I’m not upset about not spending big and creating problems in the future. I think they are still a playoff team. The roster on day 1 of the season isn’t what wins the cup. It’s the roster in the playoffs. Maybe not spending money now will give us lots more options at the deadline to fix the issues we discover during the season.

A doctor residency is needed to get your graduate medical degree. She already has her pre-med, but the residency (working at a hospital learning from other doctors) is needed to get the graduate degree. I could be off a little. But agreed that it shouldn’t be part of the trade discussions. A lot of players spouses have jobs. She could also probably transfer, but not sure on that.

I think you could fix it by having a tax adjusted cap. So the rangers could have a higher gross cap than a Florida team for example. So that the net dollars the players make after taxes are equivalent.

Look, dig your heels in as much as you want, but I’m telling you there are ways to make the numbers work so every team is on the same field, regardless of team location. It’s financially and mathematically possible. If you don’t want to be open minded to something like that, that’s on you.

I would very surprised if he's traded at this point. Everyone in the league knows the issue.

So if he wants him gone, he's gonna have to buy him out. Thats all I'm saying.

And this whole "wife" mess was created by the media. Not Drury, not Trouba, not the players. They figured he's gonnab trade trouba cause he asked for his list a day early. Then the speculation started.
