So many Rangers fans expressing having patience with Drury and saying I'm overreacting by stating no UFA's will sign to play for this guy, ever.

Honestly, if it wasn't for JD and Gorton, they wouldn't have convinced Panarin to come to NY.

Remember it was JD's reputation throughout the NHL that made the Panarin signing possible.

Drury's reputation right now around the league is completely opposite of JD's.

Like I said earlier, maybe all of you "hockey is a business" and "I hate it when millionaires cry" people see your NY Rangers fail to make the playoffs next year.

Then reality will smack you right in your faces and then you'll realize Drury destroyed this team, present and future.

Drury should be fired today.

Vincent. Remember when everyone said that Vegas ran their team in a ruthless fashion that did whatever they could to win every fan wanted their team to operate that way? This is nothing. Maybe some current players are miffed. Maybe not. We didn't sign players because the contracts being handed out are absurd. Correlation does not = causation. I beg you to go do something you enjoy and take a week off.

I mean, the clauses are bargained in the CBA. Owners and Players agree on them as is. Not Trouba's fault than he can veto a deal to 15 teams.

Honestly that portion of this isn't Drury's fault either. Gorton signed him to this deal and gave him the option.

However, Drury fumbling the rest is 100% his fault.

I mean 97-04 Glen Sather just threw out money. It is frustrating that it seems like people don't want to come here when we were the 3rd/4th best team in the NHL last year. We're real close. At the same time, I look at all those contracts given out yesterday and don't think any of them would really solve our problems. It would just give us other headaches down the road that people would just then blast drury about.

I'm so tired of millionaires being cry babies about the consequences of sucking.

I like Trouba, I think he would/will be better next year. But that doesn't change the fact that he was a big piece of why they lost games this post season.

Drury has been treating these decisions like a business. Do I think it could be done better? Yes. Do I care about the feelings of a millionaire that has sucked at times? No.

If Trouba had been better he would not be in this situation.

Anyone who thinks this will have a long term effect on NY's ability to attract free agents is delusional.

Agree totally. It’s a business. I love the guy, but he played hardball when his agent was negotiating a contract. But there are people on here and worse on FB that want to blame druey for all the woes. He inherited Trouba.

We can’t keep bringing 30+ guys in. What’s the use of a farm system if we are not going to let these guys prove they belong. Ranger drafts have not been particularly strong, but I think it’s getting better once they dumped a few scouts. Have to sprinkle some of these guys in to be successful.
