Has anyone seen anything on rookie minicamp?
Thought it was going on, hadn't heard much.
Guess cause they don't skate anymore, there's nothing to report. - vabeachbear
I am sure they will throw up the cooking class and the boat ride and stuff, maybe anothe Cub home game, but give them time.
Bedsy not even popping in ? |

I know we're all cobbling lines together and I'm sure it will work itself out, but I'd like to see TT with Reichel and maybe AA at center. - HawkintheD
The team lacks experienced NHL centres. They have a bunch of wing-centres, but not many true centres.
On the Blackhawks web site they have the following forwards listed as centres:
AA - mostly an NHL winger
Bedard - probably an NHL centre, but still very young
D!ckinson - true NHL centre
Donato - mostly an NHL winger
Kurashev - mostly an NHL winger
Nazar - will likely play in Rockford, its still up in the air if he's an NHL centre or wing
Smith - has played centre and wing, but he'd be a 4C at best
TT - mostly an NHL winger |

Interesting, thanks. There are still a lot of teams with 10M + in cap space, including CAR. I wonder if MON, Utah or LA will make move for him. Also Vegas hasn't made their annual big splash yet even though they don't have the space. Maybe some more dominoes yet to fall this summer. - boilermaker100
The Necas deal is a big one. Canes are trying to move he AND Kotkaniemi to get a legitimate 2C somehere. |

Not ideal but you could add Foligno and Reichel to that list. Foligno was 3rd in total FO taken last season for the Hawks. Reichel 8th.

While the Panther start rewarding their young draft pick from the 2020 nhl entry draft, we wait for Lukas Reichel to show any of the detail and abilities as a player (not a fast skater).
Panthers sign Lundell to six-year, $30M contract
Granted, Reichel was a speedy German taken at #17, but Lundell faced so many unnecessary criticisms as a prospect in regards to his speed, (or lack of higher tempo) but I guess he had lots of attributes thatvthe teams drafting above #12 by-passed and instead selecting recently traded Alex Holtz, Buffalso Jack Quinn, and Cole Perfetti. |

Yes. Faksa was available, I would have preferred him over Smith and Maroon. |

Time will tell but this kid we drafted 18th looks like a center. I would be happy with 15 and 20 out of Reichel wherever he plays. Baby steps. |

Still looking to move him. They're letting interested parties try to work out an extension with his agent to try and maximize the return. You're not going to trade for the guy if you can't sign him. - BINGO!

Depends on whether or not the Hawks were on his 5 team no trade list, which is entirely possible now, sadly enough. |

Blackhawks AGM Mark Eaton made it sound like they'd like Artyom Levshunov to be in the AHL this season.
"If we have the ability to have him in-house and our great development staff in Rockford working with him on a daily basis to start to close that gap between where he is and where he needs to go, it's only a bonus."

I don’t think there’s a wrong choice between the AHL and college for Levshunov. I understand the team’s desire to having a direct impact on his development as soon as possible. |

Mark Eaton said the Blackhawks wanted Ryan Greene to turn pro but support his decision to return to BU for his junior year.
"Could he have taken that step? I think he could've. And we told him that. But with his character, his work ethic...he's going to find ways to get better there, as well."

Early look at next year's draft class. IMO, Hawks should be picking around 8-10.

If the Hawks take anyone but McQueen, who I've never seen play and didn't know about til I read this, the pick is a BUST! |

That's a very forward dominated top 10. You know there will be teams that take a flyer on a dman, so there's a good chance McQueen will drop down.
Also, there's a zero percent chance that list stays the same through next year's draft! |

I read on a different site that Carolina and Columbus had a deal in place involving Necas and the 4th pick. It didn't go through because Necas wasn't willing to sign an extension there.

huh?
Waddell was always going to make room for Tulsky eventually. And Mike Forman announced weeks ago that he was leaving for a new job elsewhere.
They're hiring a new team president to oversee the renovations and land development around the arena (They signed a 20 year lease and in exchange got the development rights to the 80 acres around the arena. $300 million for renovations, $800 million for land development) |

I saw that as well. Likely Waddell wasn't offering him the kind of money he wants. |
