For some reason my twitter feed has been filled with sabres stuff since right around the draft and everyone is pissed off that their gm didn’t do anything. So he did this..

Sometimes it’s better not to do a deal at all than a do a really bad one.

Not saying I have any opinion on Savoie, but McLeod was a very important forward for Edmonton in this playoff run. He was a factor on just about every goal Fogele scored.

yeah I'm sure he's gonna be a good forward on the bottom 6 for Buffalo but damn that's poor value for a very recent #9 overall pick IMO

Would it be the worst thing to have Lindgren on a one year deal? Would be able to reevaluate after the season, we have the cap space this year, doesn’t hamstring us when others need raises, and I don’t think he is going to demand a significant amount after another year. I know things can get testy during arbitration because the team has to play down the player, but wouldn’t hate it.

A one year deal creates the risk that he walks after the season a UFA. I think if they could get Lindgren on a short term deal, 2-3, the Rangers would be all over that. But Lindgren rightfully would want a longer term deal or one year contract

The only buyout that works is Trouba but he only saves us $4m this season and would need to be replaced. Maybe it’s like “work with us on a trade or be bought out”
