The problem is by the time you want those younger fans to spend money on the team they will already be spending money on something else or some other team. It will be almost impossible to get fans to convert if they are happy spending money elsewhere.
Corporate graveyards are filled by companies to slow to respond to change. Sears, KMart, etc. Blockbuster used to be the big name in video rental. Netflix even tried to sell themselves to Blockbuster but Blockbuster laughed Netflix out of the room.

It's possible Buium is the Flyers Netflix but unlike Blockbuster even the worst mismanagement won't result in the team shutting down, just a new PR campaign. - Flyers_01
Honestly, it's pretty easy to see how this is going to turn out and how they're going to operate.

He was very easy on Drysdale - ClaudeFather
he also had a big say in acquiring him, so maybe that will play a role going forward. he is one of his guys so to speak. |

The Germans are as always, solid and technically the best. The revelation has been the Spanish team. Very young (one rising star is 16!) and playing with tremendous flair, they are very imaginative but often not tall enough to defend the headers on crosses sent into their own box. Their ability to do that is what will determine the match imo. - PT21
Been a very physical game so far.

Any thoughts on wasting a AHL contract on Boulton? How can that singing be remotely justified is comical to me. - hello it's me 2050
He'll likely spend more time in Reading than in Lehigh Valley. |

Took some notes from development camp this morning. I attended from around 9:45-11:00ish.
Jett Luchanko looks very quick and showed some skill during drills but overall looked a bit uncomfortable to me.
Denver Barkey looks really skilled but is very small. Good hands.
Alex Ciernik is noticeably fast and has a very accurate shot.
Noah Powell was a player who stood out to me for his energy and hands.
Santeri Sulku is huge. He can really snipe the puck and skates very well for a big guy. He stood out to me the most for basically the entire 90- minutes I was there. He seems very mobile and every time he shot or passed it had real purpose. - MBFlyerfan
Very much appreciated! Thanks! |

Ill never understand how some of these euro soccer players aren't embarrassed by some of the ridiculous dives they take in full view of the high definition cameras.

One day, maybe. We will see accountability to the men who treat this organization like a play thing to maintain some bastardized view of outdated philosophies.

Flyers can for sure finish in the bottom 10 this coming season but, I think they need Torts help. They need him to be his best ego self and have the room tune him out. |

* I continue to hear that "multiple teams" are kicking tires with the Flyers about the availability of left winger Joel Farabee. While head coach John Tortorella is not a believer in the player, general manager Danny Briere IS. Briere would still consider hockey trades involving the young winger but told other GMs several times that he'll only consider SERIOUS offers. It's not a giveaway. He said the same to other clubs regarding Morgan Frost (another player the GM believes in but the coach does not): make a serious need-for-a-need offer and we'll talk. Try to offer a sucker's trade, and there's nothing to discuss. |

Not good enough. Need the flyers to have about 10 less points. |
