Agree here. If I start associating taxes with hockey, I will puke and quit hockey.

There was one other point that the article brought up : way back in the day when Tampa and Florida were cellar-dwellers playing in tiny buildings with no winning track record, they were laughingstocks and considered a retirement home for players well past their primes. Nobody said anything about tax advantages back then and that was likely the sole advantage the Florida teams had then. No quality free agent wanted to play in Tampa or for Florida.
