Tage is a terrible center.

He's an even worse winger. Granato moving him to center saved his career.

Face offs yes. Everything else? Not a chance. Tage playing center literally saved his career and he’s actually pretty decent defensively as a center.

He played hurt all last year

47g 47a in 22/23 and he was pacing for 110-120 points before injuring his back.

If this is bad, I want to see what is great

Gave him more space to Work with, especially with those long Arms. Really just needs to work on Faceoffs.

I don't want to put the work in to figure our how his first season counts. 17 AHL games, 24 NHL games, and a lot of time on the taxi squad. Doesn't look like he was injured.

I don't believe taxi squad counted as active roster, so I wouldn't think it counts. I could be missing something. Those years suck to figure out.

- Lunaion

It's impossible to figure it out with the on an active roster verbiage.

Does the league even keep track of that, or do they somewhat leave it up to the teams?

Not talking about his point totals. It’s his faceoffs. D zone coverage. His breakout passes and more

Both suck. No thanks. The analytics in trouba are dreadful

Aren’t his defensive metrics actually decent if not good? I know his Corsi is pretty solid.

Faceoffs you’re right on, this whole team sucks at them. It’s a learned skill for sure.

I’m not a huge UPL fan. 2 and a half months don’t cover up the rest of his career. His numbers were so good in that two and a half months but his numbers were so bad the rest of the season his save percentage for the year was something like .908.

I have big questions about UPL.

So they are once again trying to assemble their own list of scraps in order to get a star player? I am sure they will get it done this time. Let me guess - the centerpiece of the deal is Kakko.

(shrug) in this league, what else can you do? There are only a handful of guys that are automatic. You may not believe in him, but at the same time, you can't just go out and try another guy from the scrap heap. I think we have to sign him up for 2 - 3 years and then hope that either he or Levi continues to grow.

His numbers did dip for a while last season, but he is the only reason that the team was even respectable. The wheels fell off the team towards the end and he couldn't prop them up any longer.

Doubt that gets Keller, and why would Utah be moving him now that they have stable ownership, and have a ton of interest from the new city?

Keller would take a massive package to get and Quinn would have to be going the other way at the very least.

I believe UPL electing arbitration means the Sabres can decide on a 1 or 2 year term for the arbitrator to then decide on the award.

Doubtful it gets that far, but if it did, I'm sure the Sabres will select 1 year.
