I believe UPL electing arbitration means the Sabres can decide on a 1 or 2 year term for the arbitrator to then decide on the award.

Doubtful it gets that far, but if it did, I'm sure the Sabres will select 1 year.

So, with the exception of this Zegras rumor, it would seem the opening night roster is largely set, with specific combinations TBD...it should consist of:
JJP, Tage, Tuch, Benson, Cozens, Quinn, Zucker, McLeod, Greenway, Malenstyn, Lafferty, NAK, Krebs, Dahlin, Power, Byram, Sammy, Cliffy, Joker, Bryson, UPL, Levi/Reimer. Again, pre-Zegras if it happens.

With all the offseason moves by the FO, soon the light needs to focus on individual player committment to their improvement and development (size/strength/skills/skating, etc). 2-1/2 months, absolutely no more time to waste...that was the last 2-1/2 months.

In other words, individual accountability to be the absolute best they can be when they show up to compete for those spots. That is now the single most important aspect of the offseason. Internal growth is essential to the team returning to a very capable scoring offense, and responsible defense...the Core needs to prove they are part of the Core driving results, or content to be passengers. Then, weed those MF'ing passengers out of their TOI and off the roster.

No more excuses boys.

I would love to hear the "check-in calls" from Adams, Ruff, Appert to these (still young) guys holding them accountable.
