This makes the Top 3 list of absolute worst events that have ever happened to the Clown throughout his entire life.

The case for: In defense of Terry Pegula

I will make this short. I have been one of his biggest detractors since he bought the team.

But let’s simplify things: Imagine you or I bought the team. We are riding a push to the playoffs after buying the team but the next season falls off the wheels.

Upon hearing advice from numerous people, and after bringing in Pat Lafontaine, you’re convinced that “tanking” and drafting the next Crosby is the best path forward.

In comes Tim Murray. Raised in the league. Tremendous support and praise. He assures you his plan is best and you trust him. 2 years later, you have fired 2 coaches and your players hate the current coach, oh, and you didn’t get the next Crosby, you got the next Jeff Carter.

You tell that GM, who has dismantled the team already, to fire the coach and bring in a new guy. You refuse. You also haven’t kissed your bosses ass at all and you’re doubling down on your failures.

We all know what happens next. But Pegula did surround himself with “hockey people” at first, and they systematically dismantled this team and their organizational assets.

It makes sense that he pulled a “we know better than you” attitude, since every expert he listened to made the situation worse.

Terry Pegula is not someone I relate to. But any fan buys their favorite team and they do pretty much the same things. The results are always the driving force.

He is an idiot. But it’s not for lack of trying that the Sabres are such a joke.

Yeah, it’s been mentioned that Pegula felt like he was getting burned by NHL people and couldn’t trust them.

So he promoted Adams slowly up the ranks

Because if it was the plan he should have started using some of the prospects earlier to improve the team. Could have started the process he's doing right now earlier.

When is the best time to plant a tree? 100 years ago.
When is the next best time? Today.

Quit your b!tching. He did something. Savoie ain't in the HOF and Ryan McLeod is not bagging groceries. How about we let it play out?

Nope, McLeod might be the worst hockey player to ever play the hockey.

Can he even hockey bro?

I remember when he said him and Kim were going to go to games at every arena to see what they do for their game day experience so they could get ideas to make Buffalo the best place to see a game. We got beer shelves above the urinals.

When does the makeover of KBC start? Or are they trying to turn it into the Roman Colosseum by letting it decay?

McLeod doesn't even have 90pts in 219 games yet. Wonder if Savoie takes 219 games before he hits 90pts ?

I think people are going to be surprised by McLeod. He was buried in EDM.

I think he becomes a great defensive responsible C capable of 40-50 a year.

He’s going to make this team better.

I'd imagine he does. I'd also imagine that Ryan McLeod was not purchased for points.

One of my favorite aspects of this trade is that most people aren't having a melt down over losing a prospect, when everyone and their mother was begging adams to use one to get better right now.

I do too, I am not mad about the Trade. But don't tell me a Former Top 10 pick was a good piece to use, especially one that everyone had as your top 2 prospect.

And I think that is exactly what a 3C should be able to produce.

If he’s between zucker and benson. That’s a win for McLeod and his skill set

And 3C was ID'd as a prime need.
