Honestly I would have demoted Krebs and kept Savoie up in that situation. Krebs is a nothing burger and knows it so he sabotaged the team.

I think we'd have to include a forward with top 6 upside in that trade, but you are probably close. It should be much less than the asking price for Ehlers.

Where does RyJo fit in? I thought he was excellent when in the Sabres lineup and have him in my "hope he doesn't get used as trade bait" short list (along with Kulich and Wahlberg). But he's gotta be closer to making the big team fulltime than those guys, or is he going to be a fringe player?

There aren't many RFA goalies signed in the expected range. Oettinger at 4m. Swayman at 3.45m. Those are both significantly better goalies. Gustavsson at 3.75, but buys UFA years.

I don't think he has a real case over 4m, which I imagine would be disappointing to him.

I was wondering the same. I had hoped that Joker would be moved (I still think he is) and that Johnson would step into his spot. He didn't set the world on fire, but you can see that he is really good making that first pass out of the zone.

Many of us wondering the same. I think he has Waivor Exemption eligibility so likely it allows them to make final determinations later in the year on the D lineup.

They risk pissing him off though. I hope he takes it the right way and works on furthering his development (a bit more O in his game)

It better not be that easy, Gerbs. If they miss the playoffs again, are they going to trade Dahlin, Cozens, etc if they show the slightest bit of unhappiness at being a Sabre?
