According to Buffalo insider Lance Lysowski, the Sabres were eager to trade Savoie, ultimately sending him to Edmonton for Ryan McLeod and Ty Tullio, due to his history of injuries, especially recurring shoulder problems.
"He has been injured a lot. He's had shoulder injuries and I wonder if he didn't get hurt last year after his one NHL game, if he maybe they don't trade him," Lysowski on why Sabres dealt Savoie @Sports1440

Jeremy Swayman shocks the Boston Bruins with his contract demands
Savoie has the potential to become a fantastic player for the Oilers if he can stay healthy. He only played 3 minutes in the NHL for the Sabres last year before suffering a major injury. However, his junior stats in the WHL show he was one of the top players in the game.
In his 183 career WHL games, Savoie scored 103 goals and made 160 assists. He was also a top point producer in the playoffs. Imagine the damage he could do playing alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
Matthew Savoie's time in the WHL is over.
His career stats:
Regular Season
183 GP • 103 G • 160 A • 263 P
Playoffs
52 GP • 28 G • 41 A • 69 P
Patience will be needed from the Oilers and their fans to see how this trade pans out in the long run. But if Savoie can stay healthy, it could be a huge win for Oilers Nation.

Your generation ruined the country before mine even had a chance. Enough with the gaslighting. It’s hard to get on your feet when an entire generation of men have had their foot on your neck before the doctor could even cut the cord and snip your d¡ck. |

It's literally halfway to (frank)ing Cortland and you missed my point: The people in the towns surrounding Binghamton would rather identify with Wuhan than Binghamton, that's what a dump it is. You know what, at least they know Binghamton is a dump and there's a self-deprecating humor there... Lockportians truly love Lockport and think it's great and are genuinely confused when you tell them it isn't, like they can't fathom there's literally a million places out there that are better...
Like a guy has only drank Pepsi his entire life and he's knows there's Coke and Dr. Pepper and Sprite out there but he just truly cannot fathom that they might actually taste better than Pepsi, and tasting them alone would make his head explode, especially since when I was last in Ithaca they told me Dr. Pepper is a woman. - Jet Jaguar BD

Aiellos is pretty good. Used to pop over the hill every once in a while when I lived in Norwich.
Mario's in Owego is the best I've ever had.
Southern Tier is a hidden gem of small pizza places. About the only thing it has going for it. |

Hamilton had crap for Pizza places - we went to Earlville for the pizza joint down there - maybe it was Sherburne - but that was the early 90s |

My parents and I stumbled upon that place because it’s just about the exact halfway point between us. We meet there in the summer and my kids go up and stay for a week in the summer. Is there anywhere else you would recommend along the 81 corridor near there? Maybe like a burger and fries type of place? Usually we end up goin all the way up to take them home, but I don’t think that is gonna work this year. |

Again you are a Idiot! You call me out when you thought bringing back all the scrubs didn't matter. A guy that said we can't use Savoie in Chicken Man deal but know it's alright on a 3C. A guy that calls out UPL, but if not for him we would have been sniffing top 5 pick cause of all those great 1 year signings. Go back to studying whatever analytics sheets you look at because your Hockey takes suck. |

Edmonton must really like Savoie bc this isn't a move a win-now team usually makes. They're worse on paper today - Hank Balling They signed a better 3rd line center in Henrique, then unloaded a player they no longer needed for one of our best prospects.
idk, seems like a smart win now move imo. Get better now, and get much better later when Savoie is in the top 6. |

Who would have thought that Adams actually making moves would lead to more infighting on this board?
