I said this 2 or 3 offseasons ago. First Step in Building an organization is identify what you are/want to be, then getting employees who emulate that...or teach them to be it.

I said during the playoffs that I love watching Panthers full court press and 200' game as a unit.

I like seeing that Kevo finally gets it and is aggressively trying to build it.

Now, who is the guy who embodies it and demands it from his teammates? That has now become the single biggest issue to me. I've said it before, and still believe it...he isn't on this team...yet. Furthermore, the names discused for the Top 6 addition I don't believe are it. Adams could be searching for awhile to find him.

I agree that player prolly is not here yet, but of our current roster who are the guys that are capable at least somewhat...Dahlin and Tuch first come to mind, but maybe Cozens or even Krebs (he's always seemed pretty vocal) if he's still around? If we don't land "that guy" by camp I really hope somebody other than the coach steps up in that way, maybe someone unexpected. Either way, the leadership has to be better with Okie and Great 28 gone, right?

Its odd that we have been hoping for this going back to Eichel's early days, right? We regularly hear about situations and events that shouldn't happen, and we wonder where the leadership is. The captains change and the vets change, but the stories keep coming. I think EJohnson kind of alluded to it last year when he said that this team doesn't want to pay the price.

I saw a post the other day that said something like this: no cup winning team in recent history (I can't remember how far back it went) had more than 2 players 32 or older. Edmonton will have something like 9 next year.
