He was hurt last year and the ask is like
2025 first, Kulich, Wahlberg.
Thats a lot of cheddar for a guy that put up 15 in 31 last year. Was horrible to start the year and the broke his ankle. Yet Finished strong.

You need speed to do that and get onto pucks in the offensive zone

Reinhart, Tarasenko and Lundell aren’t exactly speedster.
Bennett doesn’t really give me that track meet vibe either, but could be wrong
Barkov and Tkachuk are fast but not like the fastest in the NHL.
Erod and Verhaghe are fast
Overall is a mixed bag, probably like most teams |

Not debating this. That's why I feel like we're clearly not in on him. The move would have been made by now. I just don't see what the hold up would be. You either know what you're willing to spend and you do it, or don't - simple. How many days to think about it does someone need?

What we do know that we acquired players that have a history of providing positive impact, and beck malenstyn.
Jacob Trouba and his 8 million dollars hurt the rangers. Hence, the active shopping.

If that's it, I'm glad they're balking.
Zegras should cost right around Kulich and a 1st, at most. As you said, he regressed, got injured and is not well liked around the league due to the punky attitude. Add that into the fact ANA needs to move him, his return should be lesser. |

interesting that there's been no real forwards moved yet. McGroarty, Ehlers, Farabee, Zegras, Vatrano, Konecny, Trouba even.. All just sittin' around.
McCloud-Savoie and Jensen-Chychrun have been the only hockey trades thus far since 7/1

I doubt KA wants to pull the trigger on a trade like that when no other top forwards have been moved as of yet. Let the market be set by someone else and then make your decision when you know the market.
It's early July. This trade could take another month and I wouldn't doubt if it does. |

They’re using the tools within it. Had more than armchair GM. Has all contract info on one platform, and other useful tools, instead of building their own. |

I think the panthers strict adherence to north/south forecheck hockey made them look much faster then they actually are, but they are still well above average team speed
