In all fairness, Tage wasted Tage's abilities last year. Granted, injuries played into that I would hope - turbo044
Fair point. More meant moving forward, but injuries did derail his campaign for sure. |

does anyone think the sabres, right now, is a top 4 team in the division
does anyone think the sabres, right now, could be a top 2 team in the division and able to compete for a cup - homiedclown

I'd probably say Zegras' value is at an all time low as well, so they are comparable to some extent, but I get it.
Interesting too how this has changed. We used to be decent at trades, waiting a long time but getting the right deal, but were absolutely awful at drafting. Now our drafting has improved and our trades are just nightmarish. I know the regimes have changed, so it's understandable, but amazing that we bounced between polar opposites. - QuinnFan
I'll keep on saying their drafting is overrated just because the quantity of their picks. Rosen and Savoie weren't part of their plan this year. Makes them disappointing picks already.

If I had to put money on it no and not a chance
Better coaching will make it more interesting and if things click right away I think they should compete for the 4th spot as it stands, healthy
Goaltending will make or break them - ieetbred
Very well said! You have the key to the season! |

For a bust he's already outscored McLeod - Buff36
He had 40 pts 1 season... he's been horrific the 4 other years.
The 3 years both have been in the league McLeod has more pts in 2 of 3 seasons.
But keep shooting blanks |

He outscored him by 3pts in 21-22 and McLeod played 26 more games than Kakko, Kakko scored 40 the next year, and last year McLeod again played 20 more games then Kakko but Kakko scored more goals |

But refuse to reveal your sources of such great data.
You said Crouse is a pylon, unsubstantiated opinion that the Data reveals to be completely wrong.
Reveal your source. - IonSabres
You reveal a source it no longer a source! Think about it |

While their prospect pool ranking is inflated due to the number of picks, I do think most have been pretty good. Savoie pick leaves something to be desired, but they've nailed a lot more of the 1st and 2nd round picks recently, which is really the bigger deal/issue we had. From Quinn and Peterka to Benson and Wahlberg, they have made a lot of good choices. We have to remember even 1st rounders are only a 50% hit rate nowadays. |

So we have our captain on the roster yet? Dahlin gonna get it or is someone not on the team yet the guy? - riptheguard
I think Dahlin is the obvious choice, imo |

I agree, maybe that's what Ducks would like but doubt he gets trade if they hold firm.
I would think we would offer:
2025 1st rd pick (top 10 protected)
Wahlberg or Kulich (not both)
Krebs
McCarthy - BuffaloHerd
This is definitely more in line. Think Wahlberg, not Kulich, but if they push, you ask for a 3rd back with Z or something. Can finagle there. |

No Jack Quinn? - QuinnFan
I'm expecting big things out of Quinner, though.
Good health for him and a bounce back year from Cozens = 30 goals for Jack. |

I would be good with a trade of Krebs for Kakko. |

Hell, yes. Someone who is basically cock-blocked here for a skilled kid who may just need a change of scenery? What's not to like? |

Peterka is the only one to point to atm.
Quinn and Benson are two of my favorite players right now. Is there anything exceptional about them as picks? Not yet.
