Idk...I'd say Teuvo and Bertuzzi should contribute some scoring in your top 6 and moving guys like D!ckinson and Foligno into B6 roles vs playing in your top 6 should balance out the lines and the scoring. Don't see a playoff team but I think there will be some more goals and offense this year. - HawkintheD
What would be a significant boost to offense is not only everyone stays healthy, but two scorers emerge. I nominates Hayes and their first round draft choice in ‘25. Some descent talent was added but not big time difference makers |

There will be a trade or two before the season starts, not sure AA will be on the team and they’ll probably move a defenseman or two. - Angotti
I just don't see it, who on the Hawks would anyone want to trade for, that they'd be willing to give up? |

They have multiple LHD under 23 years old, KD needs to figure out which ones to keep and which ones to move. Vlasic and KK aren’t going anywhere, two of the other four can be used in a trade along with Toronto’s 2025 pick, make Scott happy.

I do like trades, but only if it makes sense. 25 year old or younger player should be on Davidson radar |

Trading one of the bolded what do you think you're getting back?
Trading one of them and the Toronto pick, what do you think you are getting back?
Is this really how you think KD is handling the rebuild, or should?
Again, just don't see it.
I should add, I don't have a problem trading any of those 4, just don't think you're getting back anything that you would need now. |

I would assume it would be much easier to put on weight at MSU than Rockford.
Even though i would assume a better program in the pros, less games in college gives you more time. Playing a pro schedule doesn't give you as much time to work out and playing a pro schedule has to burn calories like mad (guess I need to get into pro hockey......) - vabeachbear
I also think if you were 175lbs you definitely stay in college but over 200 already, play in the rock and he'll gain more experience since he's playing more games.
Wonder if KD will stay true to form and have Arty burn a year off his ELC? Probably

His contract was signed after July 1, too late to burn a year. |

I mean if he's going to let him play 10 games this season in the NHL?
I think it's great he signed with us, I'm hoping he has similar success as the last RD man who had a receding hairline drafted in the top 5. |

You’re probably right, but sooner or later he’s going to move one or two of their prospects, can’t just keep adding picks forever, very hard to build a winner just through the draft. Need a mix of draft picks, trades and free agents. They have a great prospect group, let’s see what KD does with them in the next couple of years. |

I agree, just don't think those guys are worth much.
now if you told me you could get Necas for one or two of them and Toronto's pick, then I'd probably do it.
just think whoever's traded for, has to fit a Sharp like profile, I guess they did get Sharp for less so who knows |

Apparently CapFriendly was still available as of 9:11pm Central, and I noticed that the Blackhawks page indicates that Taylor Hall and Connor Murphy both have been "cleared" from injury as of July 2nd and 1st respectively. Has anyone heard any updates from KD or the team on this front? |

I heard a few days ago that they expected everyone to be available when camp opens.

Has worked to improve on some things. Good and.willing to pass or shoot. Solid player I hear. He had an extended look in both of hus training camps. I think they know this is a scoring forward who just needs to keep playing and moving closer to a pro career |

Shortly before the draft I decided I would take Demidov second and try to package the 18th with ? To get the 5th. Reportedly KD tried very hard to trade for the 5th, even offering up an unprotected first in '25. So if this is true then we can infer that KD really was interested in Demidov but wanted to draft a dman before trying to grab Demidov
I had hoped to find Eiserman available should we retain that draft spot.
Let us be honest: there was a team need at #2 for either Demidov or Levshunov and at #18 for our choice or Eiserman. Redrafts in future years can tell a story of mistakes and misjudgement. There is second guessing now, a year later, and whenever you have refrafts.
One other option by the way could have been to draft either Demidov or Eiserman, but not both |

From what i saw, Silayev would of been my choice. I believed they were going to select Demidov, but am happy they drafted Levshunov.
I hear comparisons to Pietro, Doughty even Hedman? If so that would be incredible, if true that would give us an experienced player in Seth Jones and 2 to 3 years Levshunov becomes the number 1 and reduces Jones minutes with Rinzel entering the picture
Levshunov, S Jones, Rinzel
Vlasic, Korchinski and so many competing for the LD position
We may have one of the best, if not the best blue line in the NHL.
Bedard is Bedard
Then you have all these scrappy excellent skating forwards competing not only for a spot on the team but against opponents. This is shaping up very nice.
We need to keep in mind there have been teams to win a Cup without having a point per game player on them, or having just one. Bedard is at least that one. |
