We were in Paris last October and it was unseasonably hot, averaging 34C (about 94F). |

Was up all night and it was really bothering me. Then I figured it out! LFS is his abbreviation for Le FrancaiS.
Though he's not in Paris but also Provence in the lavender fields with me, you and Mo! Vive le France! |

I defer to the board for analysis of the skating style and skating speed of EDM. I imagine a comparison to Seabrook, a very good, effective Blackhawk dman before various injuries befelled him.
My forecast for EDM is to quite capably fill the slot on the second or third pair for a decade or so. He may rotate with a veteran next season but should win a regular role the season after[url]ed |

Some excerpts from Monsieur Powers this am in Le Athleticque...
As for the forwards, Frank Nazar will be the one prospect to keep an eye on in training camp. He’s probably the only one who has a realistic shot of making the team to start the season. The Blackhawks were mindful of not trying to block Nazar’s path when they made their offseason moves. They addressed a lot of forward roles, but they didn’t get a player who you’d say is their second-line center. The reason for that is the Blackhawks envision Nazar there soon. Weather soon means the start of the season will depend on Nazar’s play throughout camp.
I think he messed up and meant Slaggert though |

On one of the Hawks European prospects...
What Roman Kantserov did in the KHL got the Blackhawks excited about his future this season, and furthering that excitement was Kantserov’s willingness to travel from Russia to attend Blackhawks development camp last week. The Blackhawks never expect their Russian prospects to do that, but the organization welcomed it. It’s another sign Kantserov is committed to signing when his KHL contract expires after the 2025-26 season. |

And finally Powers thoughts on Le Cochon's...
But if you want to see the Chicago Blackhawks’ future, you might be better off getting to BMO Center in Rockford.
This is what the Rockford IceHogs roster could look like next season:
Four first-round picks: Artyom Levshunov (No. 2 pick in 2024), Kevin Korchinski (No. 7 in 2022), Frank Nazar (No. 13 in 2022), Nolan Allan (No. 32 in 2021)
Three second-round picks: Paul Ludwinski (2022), Colton Dach (2021), Drew Commesso (2020)
Four round-picks: Gavin Hayes (2022), Samuel Savoie (2022), Landon Slaggert (2020), Wyatt Kaiser (2020)

I'm intrigued by this young man. Gets a feel for the KHL performs well. Gets top line minutes as a center. Performs even better in the playoffs? He may not be a premium scorer in Russia but he must be doing something right that he got more minutes per game in the playoffs than he did during the season.

I think there's a good chance that Nazar is up to stay at some point this season, it's just a matter of when. I doubt he'll start the season in Chicago, although it's not out of the realm of possibilities. KD could trade some of his summer acquisitions to make room for Nazar or send somebody (likely Anderson) to Rockford. But I think the more likely scenario is that someone, or multiple someones, get hurt. I don't expect the likes of Hall, AA, Maroon, Smith, or even Mikheyev to play a full season. If it's just for a game or two then I'd expect a Seney or Guttman to get the call, but if someone is out for 2+ weeks then maybe that's Nazar's chance.

Agree. I don’t think he starts in Chicago but will more than likely be one of the first call ups.
Powers’ was making a comparison and referenced the last time the Ice Hogs had this many prospects vs veteran AHL’ers was ‘07-‘08. |

I think Nazar forces his way into the team. He’s already better than any forward not named Bedard or Terravainen. Even with Bertuzzi and a returning Hall, there is such a lack of dangerous skill up front. Nazar showed how dangerous he was in the tiny stint he had, giving Bedard just a taste of his skill in camp and then sending him to Rockford seems cruel to Bedard. |

I think if everyone's healthy they still will have a hard time sending him to Rockford, i think the same for Slaggert.
As far as the Hogs go, granted they all won't make it, but it gives me hope, and KDs just started his 3rd draft. Worth mentioning four 1st rounders who haven't signed their ELC as of yet. |

We’ve been looking at Italy but Portugal may be a good choice, cost of living is good, good health care, climate. It actually costs far less for me to go to Portugal for two weeks then to drive to Florida for two weeks. |

It doesn't surprise me. I guess I'm getting old because it seems it's expensive to do anything in this country outside of your home.
What's it cost a family to go to Disney world for a week now $10k? |
