Where's Skinner? I know we were talking 3rd and 4th lines, but that's where he ended the year/would've played this year. Math doesn't look so hot when that's factored in. |

So did they score less goals? Sure. But how many did they prevent? |

He was actually 6th in 5v5 forwards

He broke 10 minutes 2/7 times and played the most, by far, with Jost and Olo. Next pairing is Olo and Biro, then Krebs and Okposo. He was given 5 seconds of PP time as well.
Dare I say, he didn't get any real chance to produce. - QuinnFan
Fully understand that. I am just saying something. Literally any sign of showing off his potential wouldve been nice.
Like even a nice pass or nice shot on net

Let's see what their EVD score was as a group. Just using the groups posted above.
Our group this year has a total EVD of 13.3. That's actual performed.
Our group last year? 9.4 |

and finally, SPAR. 5.1 in total last year, Casey playing the most minutes among forwards gave us 4.5.
This year, we have 8.2, with McCleod actually playing bottom 6 minutes. |

And I got it, he played most of the year on the top line. I just think him and Zucker should be part of the math is all. It's a nitpick though. |

I saw several amazing plays he made. Several nice passes in the o-zone from the wall. Nice sauce backhander to Jost in front at one point that Tyson put 3 feet wide.
I dk, I guess I'd say to withhold judgment if feasible. He's going to work out. |

Numbers are nice, but until they put it on the Ice and these players mesh. Really don't mean anything. |

I noticed we're leaving off the illustrious Tyson Jost, who should in reality be taking Mittelstatd's place in our listed bottom 6.
He was a negative on all fronts. |

If we're gonna do the math right our bottom 6 should be bottom 6 minute players.
Cozens Benson and Quinn actually played third line minutes.
However, if we're talking "bottom 6 players", should take the bottom 7 forwards with more than 35 games.
Jost, Olofsson, Krebs, Okposo, Girgensons, Robinson, Benson. Benson played more minutes than Quinn on avg but Quinn had 27 games coming back from a major injury.

I get that. Especially after the Comrie bomb.
What we do know: they are fast and they are aggressive and they can suppress pucks. Those qualities are independent from team. And they were hand picked by Lindy to do just that.
How well they do it as a group? That's where the total impact numbers can fluctuate. |

Don't think he can, Lindy isn't here long enough to F@ck around. If the pieces aren't fitting he can't wait anymore IMO |

He has a hard time making trades at good times. It's much tougher to make early season trades.
Curious what they do in G. I assumed Levi was the plan, but Chad/Anthony and some others are sure it's Reimer. Do they go with the safe option or the higher upside option (who could give UPL competition)?

They scored 244 last year and allowed 243.
Dropping it by 15 would get them to the 220's, which would be top 5 in the league.
A plus 40 goal differential would be top 10 in the league.
A plus 20 differential feels like a more realistic hope when they were basically even last season. - kingcong39
I think both are achievable, perhaps mine is more of a stretch goal... It is aggressive.
I believe in setting high, but attainable goals and getting off to a fast start to build momentum and a cushion to absorb the downturn in tougher stretches of the season.
Success is contagious, and so is failure. They lived through failure last year, it cost guys their jobs/positions.
If anything, the boys need to come out of the shoot starting game 1. While the Top 6 and Top 4 are the meat and potato's... I sense the bottom 6 is going to provide that energy game in and game out that helps charge the Top line/pairing guys.
Sure would love to see a viable 2LW emerge ... Either via trade or from within. |

Understand that, but I am not just talking trades. And I wouldn't be surprised if Levi started in Rochester, It's a weird situation, hopefully UPL keeps growing or it won't Matter. |

I couldn't give less of a (frank) of who is here and who isn't. Just make sure it's two bodies.

I am a believer in letting G's perk in the AHL until they consistently dominate.
I'd go with Reimer for at least 30 games, unless of course he is killing them with like .850 SV%.

July 18th and Trouba, McGroarty, Zegras and Farabee are still not traded. Islanders need space. |

Do they still get to take 3 to Europe? Might not get our answer there right away.
I don't think they can afford to squander points figuring out their goalies again this season. I'd prefer the UPL/Levi competition.
