Tinordi and Megna are ahead of them. - rpeters01
Yes and that’s very telling. |

|

If Tinordi or Megna are on this team come October, I send it back. |

That's not happening. The Hawks have more depth with the summer acquisitions and some of the young talent is further along in their development. The Hawks would need to suffer more injuries than last season before they'd consider bringing back Tinordi and/or Megna.

A report on the World Junior Summer Showcase.
Moore at 2C and A J Spellacy at 4RW on the USA Blue team. Moore with a goal in their 7-2 win over Sweden.

Janne Peltonen (CHI, Rd 7, 2023) jumped right in with an Interference penalty on his first shift. Didn't dent the scoreboard otherwise.

The Wild have re-signed Brock Faber for 8 years @ $8.5 million. There is a 15 team no-trade clause starting in year 4 of the deal. |

Well they kind of need a #7 defenseman..... Magic Gus is not available. I guess it could be Tinordi.
The problem with any veteran #7 guy is they end up playing a lot. So I hope they will keep a young guy as #7 and get him in the lineup.

I believe Crevier will need to go through waivers but Phillips does not, but it could be the other way around. Regardless, I doubt either guy gets claimed at the start of the season. No doubt there will be better options on the waiver wire, at this point both guys have shown to be AHL caliber d-men. - DarthKane
You are correct, Phillips would have to pass through waivers. Probably he wouldn't get claimed, but if it's a battle for a spot, maybe that is the tie breaker that will give him a first chance at a spot. Pretty clear that each guy has a lot to prove still, 2 way deals, only 1 year at 775k. Those are "Show me you are more than just organization depth" deals. |

Next July 1 Bedard will be eligible for his next contract. A lot of questions going forward. Will KD sign him early to avoid him being eligible for an offer sheet the summer of 2026? Will Bedard want to sign early or play out the length of his ELC? Bridge or max contract? How many $$$?

I think we have our guys that will fill out the bottom pair and #7 slot on D. Probably a combination of Martinez, Brodie, Kaiser, or other young guys who earn it who rotate around the 5,6,7 slots. |

Last week, Rockford signed 3 defensemen to AHL contracts freeing up a couple of the prospnect D to fill in the 6 or 7 spots in Chicago.

I assume that much like Marcel Marcel last year (who signed an AHL contract) if needed these guys can easily shift down to the ECHL if there isn't room in Rockford. |

Nice article of AJ, looking forward to seeing him come up through the ranks.
Also sounds like Moore is a coaches favorite because of his relentless play. |

Teams wouldnt bite at the high ask. - LFS
The Canes held all the cards. They didn’t have to trade him, so they set the price high knowing if nobody met it, Necas would have to sign with the Canes anyway.
