Giddy up.

You have to apologize and admit you were wrong and I was right about everything before deleting your account too.

- Horsey Sauce

Wait, you don’t think nylander gets 70 pts this year?

Dude this is getting embarrassing.

Edit: unless he gets injured this is a no brainer.

Except you were not right about everything. You have been whining about Nylander for years and to date he has proven you wrong.

So you won’t admit you’re wrong even after being proven wrong?

This is starting to look like a cop out..

Of course, on the blue and white planet of delusions.

I do like him. He's a nice guy. And if he was 5-10 years younger, in his prime, absolutely, he'd be great. But he's not. His age, his price and his performance make him a waste of space on this team.

Just remember, Vegas got rid of him. They won the Cup after he was gone. Why? Because that organization was smart enough to realize he was finished. The Leafs, unfortunately, haven't been smart enough to realize it yet.

- Rare_Jewel

Vegas is cut throat organization. IMO.
I do agree, younger version of him would be great but we are here in the now.
I hoping for a better start to the upcoming season from him.

Just to be clear I wasn't giving the love emoji to Tre's first UFA crop. It was brutal and we got off lucky that the damage wasn't more locked in.

You guys defending Reaves I want some of what you are smoking. Reaves seems like a nice guy etc but what wasTre smoking holy cannoli.

- Zezel

its what is bake into the the cannoli my man.

Hoping he has a better start this season before cutting bait on him.

Berube will know how to utilize Reaves effectively
- mr.sir

that's what I was thinking.
Let see what the new coach can do,
see how it goes by American Thanksgiving.
or maybe he hurts his hand and is out for the season .....

He'll be 38 in January. I don't know how you sacrifice a roster spot for what limited fisticuffs he's offering. His fights are generally staged and we all know (well most of us) that having an enforcer in your lineup doesn't really act as a deterrent. If you have a tough guy who can play then you don't have to sacrifice anything but . . . I had hopes that Reaves would win board battles or drive with the puck a little, but he just can't do that at this stage - or at least it's so few and far between that it's basically moot.

I'd reiterate that Reaves, even just 5 years ago, was a force - but since then . . . I mean I know +/- isn't a particularly useful statistic on its own.

I get what you're saying. Berube does preach more physicality and a guy like Reaves could help with that, but the more hits you throw when you're slower at accelerating out of them because you're older . . . it adds to the liability in my mind.

That’s another thing, the most important point I reckon, about Willy not breaking 70pts.

Berube, re: watching Nylander first day of training camp (especially his defensive play)

He'd be on a short leach.
