I would think the McLeod trade removed him from consideration, unless their plan is for McLeod at 2LW, then Ross is the 3C. Swapping Greenway for him would be great.

While I can't blame Eichel or Reinhart for wanting out of another rebuild, I think I can fault jack for the hyenda behavior as you put it. I think he was just a kid who got told he was the greatest thing since sliced bread, since he was 10 years old. His ego couldn't fit in our arena and it cost us. And while I can understand why Murray was mad about the changes to the draft order, he was an absolute buffoon to say that publicly, good point.

Eichel is a typical Mass hole. They're literally all exactly like him out there. I think that bringing in a phony like Gionta to be the captain after drafting Eichel, trading for ROR and Kane and having Reinhart, etc... They should've just went full youth, put the C on Eichel from the start and been done with it.

They lollygagged the entire thing. Tim Murray, The Pegulas, FFS LaFontaine played his part.

Sabres embedded comes out tomorrow for those who are interested. One topic they'll go into is how comfortable they were moving down and getting the same player. Gives me more confidence they weren't really targeting one of the big defensemen.

I like Colton quite a bit, but he's a 3rd liner, and I think they have a bigger need for a Top 6 player if they are to make a move. Just achieving him seems redundant.

I am hoping that one of Kulich or Rosen is elevated to play 3rd Line when and if that move is made and Greenway is a piece going out.

Colton alone wouldn't be my preferred move, but could add value in replacing Greenway if he was used in the trade 1:1. Not sure why The Avs would move him

Can't argue that. The brass didn't help in any way and hurt us in quite a few others. Looking back on the team Murray assembled though, they also massively underachieved.
