Everyone listen up and we just might learn something. The privileged, middle aged white guys are talking politics again.

Alternatively, you can go out, talk to people who look different than you, and really educate yourself.

It is freaking 2024 and we still are inundated with such narrow minded nonsense.

Sorry, I'll try to do better.

When you work for the man, it isn't easy to break away to talk hockey.

I’m hoping Hollins has more of a Bill Brooks impact. Just a friggin TD machine. I think he has the single season receiving TD record for the Beels.

No, after 9/11 the incentive was to be relentlessly mediocre (no child left behind). The class divide got larger, our rights got taken away, and they turned all of our food into "food-like substance". Adolescence has been not only extended, but encouraged, and we have to coddle every single person we encounter because they've all been "traumatized".

The problem is that all of the fat, ugly, mediocre, basic, simple, unintelligent masses reproduced like literal rats, stuffing their and their children's faces with ultra-processed foods and ridiculing intelligence for going on 100 years now.

All music is the same 4 chords. All songs are derivative of one another. Real art is shat upon. We are force-fed a mass-produced culture that has manipulated us at every turn.

I have to dodge the spider web almost constantly, but I manage. You'd be wise to read a book. I reccommend:

A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn

The Future of the Future by John McHale

The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan

As a good starting point for understanding the meme-complex of Western Society, the rigid class structure of America, and the mass-media information cloud.

He would have been a legendary sitarist to have played it 300 years before it was invented

Here let me explain: My comment was a meta-joke about being a hipster, the people who always claim to have heard a song or played a song first.

Wow, I mean wow dude.

Are they still in the Red Cap wise this Year ?
Edit: Looks like there still 900,000 thousand in the whole.

- Buff36

Well, they're 900K in the red, however Ellis and/or Johansen is probably heading back to LTIR. They probably have up to 10M in extra space.

Good post

Skinner is a one dimensional player and coaching isn’t gonna change his playing style

I’m guessing Lindy had seen enough over the years and used his pull to release him from the Sabres

- Boss34

fwiw if you want to believe kevo, he said regardless of the coach, he was going to move skinner because he was no longer a first line player.

Sabres at 18th

they made a lot of points in the article that I'd have said myself.

i am however cautiously optimistic that Clifton provides more value this season.

SJ just signed Bordeleau to a 1yr deal. If he's falling out of favor there, I wouldn't mind throwing them a prospect. He would move McLeod down a line to where he belongs.

He's a good skater with a great shot. While a bit undersized, he can play C or LW, and is a great puck retriever. Thoughts?

Goaltending ranks.

3. Buffalo Sabres
Current: 11

Granger: I absolutely love the current trajectory of Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. He took major strides in his second full NHL season, stopping 22.46 GSAx (sixth in the league, just behind Swayman) despite playing behind a porous Buffalo defense. Luukkonen’s biggest asset is his mind, reading the ice to stay ahead of plays and make saves look easier than they should. He recently began working with respected Finnish goalie coach Hannu Nykvist (who famously worked with Bobrovsky). At 25, the future is bright for UPL and the Sabres, who also have high-upside prospect Devon Levi.

Future: 2

Wheeler: Luukkonen’s no longer a prospect but Levi, Scott Ratzlaff, Ryerson Leenders and Topias Leinonen are, and each has varying degrees of potential. I still believe Levi’s one of the best young goalies in the sport and the heir apparent (over UPL) for the Sabres net long term, and I’ve got a lot of time for both Ratzlaff and Leenders, even if though don’t have the size teams covet. Leinonen does have the size but I worry about his feet/mobility/fitness. Still, in Levi, I think they have a potential 1A and between the other three, you hope that one becomes a backup/No. 3 down the line.

Cap: 10

McIndoe: The Luukkonen extension dropped this week, and if Jesse is right about where he ranks, it’s decent value at $4.75 million, although at five years it’s certainly not without some risk. With Levi and veteran James Reimer both on cheap deals, the Sabres’ spending here is reasonable.

Bottom line: Did we … did we just dump a bunch of optimism on the Buffalo Sabres? This is so confusing.

It was odd they published it before Arb is completed. I would have like to see their grade on UPL's and Krebs' deals.

He would absolutely not move McLeod out of 3C. I would take him over Krebs (straight swap) just for the offensive potential, and that we need a cheap center replacement option if Krebs goes.

They're overloaded now with middle six players.
They need a Top 4 RhD and maybe a 2LW.

I believe those rankings are derived from previous season's performance and not a cumulative or 3 year average, something like that.

So if that were to be the case, and UPL statistically performed in the top 5 (2nd OA in GSAx), and his cap is now I think 20th, there's a lot of surplus value there. Perhaps enough to move the Sabres up a few spots. fwiw.

Think it would be a TDL deal. A few of the talking heads are saying we're done for the summer. Seems about right.
