The guy with two cups? Longevity reminds me of participation trophies. - Angotti
Illogical. Matt Murray has two SCs as a starting goalie too. Hell, Kunitz has four as a top six forward. Neither are special. Ignoring cumulative career stats is completely disingenuous. Many players have high peaks. Doing it for many years is what makes them special. |

ESPN - Eastern Sports Broadcasting Network, who shoves every Yankees vs. Red Sox game down the country's throats, no matter the standings. Biased against midwest or west players. No, that could never happen.
In their world, the eastern time zone is the only one that exists, hence why Thornton, Quick and Kane were pictured in eastern conference team jerseys.
I really don't pay much attention to anything that comes out of that network, and neither should you. |

I never did understand the Lundqvist love, about as overrated as you can get. Corey Crawford has same numbers along with two cups. The only good thing about ESPN is that I get out of market games, otherwise, theyβre worthless.

I guess I would have to see the list of 21st Century Top 25, but my overwhelming Blackhawks bias aside, I still simply cannot imagine a 25 without Toews on it.
Some deserving players will be left off but Toews should not be one of them. |

Exactly and there hasn't been one good argument for keeping him off the list. |

I will reiterate... hockey is more affected by luck and randomness than any other major sport (Baseball, Football, Basketball). |

Wonder if this kid can skate, Alexander Karmanov, 6'11, 250lbs playing for Penn state this year - BetweenTheDots
I'm getting Viktor Svedberg vibes. The only video I've found is him skating away from getting scored on. |

I found a clip, he looks really stiff for now but considering he's close to 7 foot, it'll be interesting to see how he does in college |

The Blackhawks probably will finish a better record next season . But the league overall is improved so it is hard to gauge if Chicago will qualify for a lottery pick
The early reports show at least five top forwards in the 2025 Entry Draft. Can Chicago wind up with one of them?
KD has an impressive list of forwards already drafted who have and will progress next season. Add a top choice too; it is going to be very interesting how they all blend together. |

Of course in respective decades CHI was the best team 2010-2020. Over the course of the entire cap era, PIT is #1. Most playoff appearances, most SC appearances, tied for most SC wins. From 2021 The Athletic has been doing this and PIT has been #1 every year.

Fair point, and you guys were fortunate that they found that hair line fracture in Crosby otherwise it would of been a rough decade not having your best player on the ice. In the end both teams won 3 cups, all the other stats are meaningless because in 10 to 20 years it will be the only thing they will be remembered for.

CHI seems to be doing a proper rebuild and will be contenders again. Still think that's by far the best way to run an organization in the cap era for the long term. I'm very concerned PIT won't commit to a full rebuild again and that will leave them as an irrelevant nothing org. like many orgs. that try to avoid rebuilding. |
