Because he is inept
If it doesn't magically work this year the nostalgic lindy good vibes will wear off fast. The arena will be tank level empty and as toxic as its ever been i imagine
Maybe I'm wrong about the level of toxicity because its hard to be mad about something you just don't care about anymore - ieetbred
I just can't believe he never replaced Skinner. Ridiculous. This team would be so much better with Skinner on it. He made them worse on purpose when he could have just done nothing
And doing nothing is like his favorite thing in the world which makes it even dumber |

Skinner is more effective than Laine. It makes no sense to buyout that guy and then spend assets for Laine. It's just asinine |

This is going to be a really hot take but I'd rather have Krebs and Greenway. Fun fact: Laine has scored 12 more goals than Greenway over the past two years
Krebs and a 2nd - Hank Balling
I don't mind Krebs as 13F, but really they have too many F as it stands, gotta do 2'fers or 3 for 2...IMO, of course.
If they get Laine, nice and neat:
JJP Tage Tuch
Laine Cozens Quinn
Benson McLeod Zucker
Beck Lafferty NAD

I don't disagree. Personally I rather see them fit Rosen or Kulich in there somehow and jettison both Greenway and Krebs. |

It is truly amazing that a season after betting on linear progression and failing miserably they are at it again. Only thing different is there should be some return to the mean if some of these guys are what they were two years ago
Otherwise its praying Benson takes a big step and some rookie steps in and scores 20+
It is laughable to consider helenius in any scenario, but here we are |

Besides firing adams im not sure. Any gm they bring in must have full control of roster management. I dont believe adams really calls the shots. This will leave us with a very limited or non existent pool of potential gms to choose from
A big trade for a truly established impact player has to be the move. If Ottawa fails again I would be offering the house for tkachuk
Otherwise the option is hoping growth from our young players continues and one or two of their draft picks becomes a stud. Goaltending will need to be top 5 in the league |

The organization's future is resting on the shoulders of Big Murr, it's as clear as day...if he gets mean, this team will be unstoppable.

I'd say you let most of these 4th liners (our entire bottom6) walk. And finally promote the kids. Worst case scenario, same thing happens. Best case scenario, you have a bottom6 that's hungry for minutes, that can actually push the core. Right now, no one in our top6 has any pressure on them to perform. If Peterka gets 10 goals this year, he may see the 2nd line...to put that in perspective.
Good teams have good players all the way down their lineup, not 6 defensive forwards. |

So far a 6' 200+lb bust.
Crosby will make him a 30 goal scorer.
How many more years do you think Crosby have left in the league?
