There's always a delay in inflation. Likely 3-4% of that 9% is Trump.

And my girlfriend works in the hospitality industry. She never claims trips. No one calls. We don't need to invent further issues. I think you're trying to present Trump as being very good...in actuality, he isn't. We've been run by idiots for years now and we're too divided to demand better than either candidate...that's the sad part.

I agree! It's picking the Cow Sh!t or Dog Sh!t basically

I'm presenting the facts.
Biden has lied about several things and Harris is trying to re-weite her identity. The whitewashing that is going on is nothing short of incredible.

Dems wanted to dump Harris from the Biden campaign as little as a month or so ago.
Now Kamala is Mother Teresa, JC, Miss America and Ghandi rolled into one.

How do you feel about Harris changing so many of her stated policies?

Would you say the $5 billion it cost new york state alone to pay for illegal aliens last year is an invented issue?
- TheHank

I think that's an exaggerated number, so while not invented it is unnecessarily inflated to cause more alarm.

The real number is likely less than half of that, or less than a percentile of our state spending. It's certainly something to attend to, it's nowhere near the most pressing issue facing this country though.

Honestly, I don't care. I think her and Trump are both mouth pieces for the party and will lie through their teeth about anything they think will gain them a vote or a dollar.

But we should move on my friend. Can agree to disagree, we should talk hockey stuff. It's much more enjoyable.

I think the Oilslicks are going to rush Savoie straight in. Helenius plays the full year in the AHL with Kulich and Rosen as first men up. At least that's my gamble.

Savoie imo

I thought he would earn a spot on this roster , prior to the trade.

No way the Sabres pick mid 1st rounders straight to the nhl in back to back seasons

What are you basing this on?

From Politifact:
New York City Mayor Eric Adams told the state Legislature in February the money is not enough to cover the city’s growing expenses associated with the new arrivals. In the city’s fiscal year 2025 budget document, released on April 24, the city estimates that more than 190,000 migrants have arrived since July 2022, and that costs associated with them will reach $10 billion by 2025[/i]

I like Armstrongs offer-sheet moves. Ruthless. A GM with balls who takes advantage of an opportunity to press a cap-strapped team and potentially poach 2 good young guys

When we owe Skinner 6 and a half mil in 2 years, someone could poach Novikov and Benson from us when we are up against the cap

Matt Savoie is a top 9 winger. Their wingers without Kane:

Hyman, RNH, arvidsson, skinner, Holloway(for now), perry. Even if Holloway goes, which I don't think he does, I think they use Janmark to fill the void and call up a guy like the Drake. They're a championship caliber team that doesn't have time to train a guy like him on the fly.

Helenius gets a tryout. Wild guessing at this stage but he's an extremely mature hockey player for his age, like Benson. With the current roster they will need to depend on injuries to get his games in.

I think Savoie hits it first as long as Helenius doesn't blow camp away like Benson.

It’s a shat or get off the pot year for Power IMO.
He could be the odd man out if Quinn, JJ, Benson have good years.
Hopefully the cap will finally properly inflate to reflect market

I love the action. The success rate of these passing is, I think, 2. That's sad. And there's a reason(s) for that.

You need to be willing to significantly overpay a player to get him into your org. Finish his bloated contract then hopefully come to a less bloated, still too high contract.

Last I checked Dustin Penner and Kotkaniemi were and are massive F's.

I'd be losing my mind picking up Broberg for 2*4. Whatever.

Holloway I could live with. I think they match it though.

For sure my friend. I doubt we're that far off on the whole, I'm just more fed up right now.

And come on, the impact faceoffs have on team wins is always a fun exercise! Or can I interest you in some banter on the internal cap and whether or not it's real?

I'd be more concerned about the next pair of expansion drafts than worry about offer sheeting. The next CBA could, I guess, incentivize offer sheeting. Which would be bad ass.
