you know i never thought about it until now that you guys' parents all played hockey too. down here, my dad never even came to a game and i had to repeatedly remind my mother that i was going to play hockey, not soccer. they just were not into sports.

It's much more generational here. I play with people of all ages and no one like started in their mid 20s

intermitent fasting

its mostly so that I can be lazy in other area ( Alchool as an example)

realised that I dont care about breakfast that much, so nothing from 21:30 to 12:30, i've been doing it for a year.

At first I was like : I'm gonna just do it weekdays, I dont want to go crazy over it, but most of the time I do it all the time, save on vacation

I had weight to loose ( like 15 pounds) I did, so I see it as a way to keep it off

to anybody that would like to shed some weight, I say try it, too me it was surprisingly easier than I thought

I went the opposite.

6 small portions meals/healthy snacks in a day (8/10/12/2/4/6), with no bread / sugars / etc.... more substantive meals at 10 and 4

Food may not be as tasty, but I have a lot more energy, stomach issues mostly vanished, and slowly losing weight (should do more exercise, but just do not have the time working 10+ hours a day).

I feel if I tried fasting, I would bloat up/over eat on the meals when it came time to eat.

That's when televisions became more more, so Canadians had greater access to America TV and decided to desire the US life. Americanization

I think when it comes down to it, there is no 1 solution for everyone.

You just gotta find a system that works for you, fits your lifestyle (adjust when needed), and stick with it.

Trying to do too much or change everything overnight never works in the long run.

At least for me, I've tried more than once.

oh I did, but when I first started working out it wasn't that easy, my stomach wasn't used to ingesting so many calories and protein. I think I have an ectomorph metabolism so that didn't make it easier either.

oh you have to adapt for sure, there are no miracle "one size fits all" diets lol... just saying that fasting on a short term basis is probably fine, but long term it surely isn't that healthy.

guys, all you need is a lockdown and a little determination to live miserably without the carbs you love so so much and ride an exercise bike! i went from 220-185!

okay okay, this was a terrible time and might not even work for other people. i changed my mind, don't do it.

Some of them don't carry goalie equipment anymore.

The ones that do, usually price the equipment considerably higher than what you'd find on MarketPlace.

Let's just call it a last option.

And hey, if anyone is upgrading their gear it's me. My hockey pants are falling apart!
